ZR-1 Upgrades

Hello everyone

A few questions I'm interested in and would appreciate any information anyone could supply.

1. Why did the ZR-1 get wider in 92? 3/4 of an inch I think it was? Can't see GM retooling the body at that point so it must have been something else - fatter rub strip perhaps?

2. What modifications (if any) on the later Zs can be retrofitted on the earlier models? Thinking about ASR/ABS or anything like that.

Actually just realised I misread that. :???:

all the ZR-1s have abs, and you only need ASR if you can't drive

I dont think it actually got any wider as the bumper part numbers are the same for all year zr1's ( I think)
