After changing the fluids, putting on new gs calipers, pads, rotors, bleeding the system, replacing 3 of the amps and clay bar/ 2 coats of wax I finally took my z out for its maiden voyage. Put on about 70 miles. Damn these things run!
About half way through the "service tpms" light came on. I set all the pressures at 36 psi before I went out. And I had driven the car for about 10 miles before I did alk the work so to see it come on is a little surprising.
My car has shelbys on it. I do not know if the previous owner removed and reinstalled the sensors. My guess is they didn't as I have the original rims with the factory GS-Cs on them.
Does the system create an error if it doesn't detect the sensors? I have a Genisys scan tool and tried to read the codes but it couldn't detect there was a problem. Dont have access to a Tech 1 and I will try to ground the aldl port. But until then am I correct thinking the system doesn't like the sensors to be missing?
Any thing I can do to turn it off easily but restore it later?
Lastly will the 17" sensors fit an 18" rim?
Thx
