I know the basics, bright red/saddle two-top car. Anyone know the previous owners, or anything about its ownership/driving history? Thanks!

Also, the paint on the wire conduit suggests a respray here, right? I recall the underneath looks pretty spotty from the factory, causing a lot of people to think cars were resprayed. But the fact that the paint is on the wiring seems abnormal to me.

looks like some repaint in the pic on wire loom, bumper support bar, other braces and AC condenser.

In addition, I have never seen any type of conduit located in front of a C4's radiator. Not sure if there is an exception to the early Z's. Also, air dam braces were black, this one clearly has overspray.

It looks like there is overspray on the radiator fins as well.

A quality refinish of a fascia is generally done "off the car" - I'd be very skeptical regarding the quality of the refinish! Were the proper "flexible additives" used? There's some reason for concern I'd think.

Thank you for the info, the aftermarket add on explains it. Purchased an OEM airdam brace to replace my weathered one. I looked under (and photographed) C4 radiator intake areas from the McDorman collection for reference and had not come across anything similar to the OP’s photo.

Yeah, it seems like if it were just the bumper, that would be pretty easy to remove and do right. However, it has been at two dealerships at least, so it may have been painted due to some chips or something. I could see it being done "fast" vs "right" in that case.
However the front bumper has a scraped area on it, which kind of discounts that, unless it got bumped at the dealer post-repaint. Other than that, the car looks nice. Weatherstrip looks original and in good shape, the interior is in great shape, and the paint is generally good, though swirl-marked all over.
It's at a dealer and they were closed when I looked at it, so I haven't seen the engine bay, nor gotten a super close look at the interior.

The wire loom is in the right place. It attaches to the backside of the crash bar. The reason it doesn't stand out is because it's black. When it gets painted, BINGO!!!, there it is.
Definite re-paint though.

Heheh, no not really. A friend was interested in the car. The dealer is pretty firm on the price though so it probably won't happen.

rick is yours different because of the ram air setup? Ryan you'd be correct. A 5 1/2" hole has to be cut in the front bumper support to install it. Also has a 1/2" steel brace that is installed for extra support. Looks like I will need to tuck those wire looms back up with some zip ties. Looks kinda tacky hanging down like that.

The conduit is actually factory attached with a clip to the rear of the front crash bar. I would suspect that the Ram Air setup attributes the Rhipsher's conduit sitting lower now.

No worries, it was well taken  I’m a year or so away from purchasing a Z, I have a lot to learn about the LT5 so I am on this forum a lot. I find posts like this valuable so I will know what to look out for when the time comes.

:hello: This is absolutely without a doubt the best place you could be. There are other corvette sites but this place is 100% dedicated to the ZR-1 in every way. This group is the finest there is.:fahne:

I thought there was wiring that ran across the frame there, but honestly it's hard to remember those kinds of specifics.
Initially the dealer would only flex < $500, but suddenly they are willing to flex a bit more than that, so who knows, there might be another ZR-1 in NoVA/WAZOO...

The conduit is OE and is the forward lamp harness, it's just not attached to the impact bar correctly. I couldn't see the conduit issue as being a "deal breaker".
