South Texas Corvette BBQ Weekend - November 15 to 17, 2013

We're coordinating this event with the Formula 1 race at The Circuit of The Americas.

http://www.circuitoftheamericas.com/f1

Friday: Late afternoon until ??? Snacks, adult beverages and F1 practice viewing
at the Breitung ranch. Maybe some bench racing too ...

Saturday AM: Gather at Corey Henderson's shop beginning 9:30 AM for an
impromptu car show, coffee, donuts and (maybe) a few dyno runs. Pizza at noon.
For the women who want to shop at the discount malls in San Marcos, Mary will coordinate
and plan to leave from Corey's shop at 9:30 AM.

Saturday PM: About 3:00 PM until ??? - gather at the Breitung ranch for snacks and viewing
the F1 qualifying recorded earlier in the afternoon. Texas BBQ served at 5:30 PM
including BBQ ribs and brisket, beans, potato salad and Texas sheet cake. Bring your own
adult beverages - soda and water will be provided.

Sunday - Watch the F1 race live at 1:00 pm at the Breitung ranch. All race events
(practice, qualifying and race) will be recorded.

For those going to the F1 race events, you are encouraged to come directly to New Braunfels
after the racing at COTA is completed each afternoon. If you plan to stay in NB overnight,
you should make hotel reservations early because the F1 event might make rooms in NB
difficult to find. Rooms in the New Braunfels area are available but the cost goes up closer to San
Marcos and Austin.

Also: the monthly craft show in Gruene is the same weekend, so more opportunities for the
women folk to pick up Christmas presents.

Sponsors: Corey Henderson and company hendersonperformance.com
Glenn and Mary Breitung
Joe and Gayle Cagianut

RSVP to breitung@att.net before 11/10/13 so we know how much food to prepare.

Hey, Glenn. Got your PM. I'm trying to work out my schedule for that weekend. The wife and I def need a break from life. Can't think of a better way than a run to the Hill Country. And for once I'd like to go to Corey's WITHOUT my check book!

You and anyone else coming from the north is welcome to caravan with us.

Have fun!

Hey, Marc. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to cover for one of my managers this weekend so it looks like I'm out. The only way I could do it would be to drive down after work (I work nights), hang out a bit and then drive back which is not totally out of the question. I'll just have to see how things shape up. How early Sat morning are you leaving?
