Where is it in the FSM? I thought it was 8D, but guess I thought wrong here...

Anyone know it offhand here?

Schrade,

Try 0B-4 in front of manual. By the way did you get the cure on that hesitation?

Thanks there Franke!

No; I'm believing that the 'off-idle sag' issue, is DIRECTLY causing the Cruise issue as well - a 2mph swing in speed - any speed, when cruise is engaged. I'm attacking the 'sag' from a different angle, until I get DataMaster navigation down (which may show some Voltage swing on some circuit).

CC diags flow chart for 'loping' cruise (NOT flow chart for total Cruise failure), DOES include a vac leak in CC vac servo lines. Working on vac routing now..........

I may have a vac leak somewhere, causing both CC issue, AND 'off idle sag'. Is Cruise vac supply, and MAP vac supply integrated???

Idle quality is perfect however - no loping. If there is a vac leak, it is triggered by SOME circuit energized in CLosed Loop, I believe, and even then, I cannot pin it (intermittent)

AND, it may be related to the A4 4L60e tranny Controller Module, or CM wiring ........................

Thinking hard on this now with my 'CPU', and it's smokin' hot - you can tell by the dual ear exhaust :D need 'The Patch' :p

Schrade,

Try 8B-9 in front of manual. By the way did you get the cure on that hesitation?

Got it; thanks (need more than 3 thumbs to navigate 8A, 8D !!!) ...

No need to go to the FSM for this info. It is conveniently located in the owner's manual on page 86. I put a yellow sticky on that page. It's handy knowing it's right there in the glove compartment cause there's no frigging way I'll ever remember the sequence for more than two days.

To see what that page looks like look at post 20 on this thread:

Thanks there Sir...

But alas, I think every interior 'extra' was still in my Z when I bought it, the OM was NOT  , nor was the key fob transmitter or jack...

Well that's a shame. I wonder how hard it would be to find one.
Some good "quick" info in there when you on the road. (fuses etc).
Carrying the FSM is fairly bulky and yet.....
With a smart phone and access the this forum..... who needs it :p
Yet another byproduct of technology changes. Instant access to the masses for help. Cool beans.

I know you have done quite a bit of troubleshooting to cure the hesitation. Especially from the fuel point of view. I was thinking about what is required to have a smooth transition from idle to off idle. Fuel and air in the right amounts at the right time. Have you checked the throttle body for fouling and or air leaks?

Does that make the Oil light go out? :)
