This is all new to me...

have a Tech1A with mass storage card 3000003.
I can read engine codes no problem.

Supposedly from where I purchased the tester, it is supposed to be capable of reading also codes for ABS and the selectable ride control.
I select Chassis but then get on the Tech1A display no ABS controller found.

The unit I have has the 14/26 PIN DLC cable (part # 02001637) connected to the Tech1A and opposite end of cable is attached to the GM 12/14 PIN DLC adapter (part # 02001384) that connects to the plug under the dash.

Am I missing a part on the cable in order to read from the ABS ?

Thanks

Paul

You need one more adapter.

Thanks

Would the TA02659A not work as well for ABS?

02001033 is the Bosch part number
TA00022 is the GM equivalent part number

Here's a link with the description.

Bringing this topic back up-

I tried the EXACT same hook-up as the original poster using the mass storage cartridge running in chassis-mode with the Bosch ABS adapter etc. I also got no communications to the ABS controller.

My plan is to try my cable on another car and after that, to acquire or swap tech1a parts with somebody else with a working diagnostic connection to ABS. The adapter module is more than $60 so i didn't want to go out and buy another without some checks first.Any body know what is inside of the TA00022 bosch abs adapter plug that could fail?
