Gentlemen it is time for the next group buy. What do we need to buy every four or five years, even if the old ones look new?
You guessed it tires.
After months of searching for a tire wholesaler to give us a wholesale account I have finally found one that will allow us the ZR-1 Net Registry to buy tires at a discounted price.
Head on over to the Members only section where I have created two examples to show the discount.
For non-members the discounts for the two example are $61.00 per tire up to $150.00 per tire.
If you are not a member it might be time to become a member. We are starting to get decent discounts from vendors for all of our members.

Robert, it's a long shot but if you can get Hoosier A6 tires I'm in.

315/35/17 and 335/35/17.

I know some of us have very good reasons not to become members. However, If I could keep $300.00+ dollars in my pocket I would swallow my pride and spend the $35.00 to become a member. I will support every Corvette enthusiast as much as I can. However, I am the merchandising director and I have to do what is in the best interest of the group.

Robert, I didn't mean that to be sarcastic. I think this is a great thing. Unfortunately my wife is out of work. If she doesn't find work, the 'vette won't go on the road next year, never mind new sneakers. -Steve

Steve, Sorry to hear that. These group buys will be available twice a year for at least until the end of 2014. Hope your wife finds work soon.

The GB thing encouraged me to join. The saving was a lot greater than the membership cost. The rest of it is icing on the cake at this point.

will check out the tire offer soon.

I could not find it either. Also, not to hijack, but I noticed the section on Registered ZR-1s. Mine is not listed and there seems no way to register your car, at least in that section. How does one register one's car? Any input on either item would be appreciated. --Bob

OOOOH the "Members Only" part of the forum
not the regular for sale by the club stuff on the
Members Only section of the webpage....
http://www.zr1netregistry.com/MembersOnly/SpecialOffers.aspx
the confusion is not the first time for such.
So there's not an actual ordering place and CC numbers taken etc.
My error.

Took the tires to a Pep Boys and had them install, there is a guy here in SA that's known as the best wheel guy in town and works there no scratches on chrome A-molds and gently puts them on. Paid another $100.00 for mounting/balance and chrome valve stems.

If you go to the discount tire direct site they can quote install prices on line.

I went 285/40ZR-17 on fronts vs 275/40ZR-17

right now they have a promotion a set of four you get a $75.00 Visa Card
