As most of you read in a previous post I made, while on my way to Marc's I had the good luck of killing a road gator in the process it cracked my left front inner fender well. I have spent the last few days looking for a new one problem is they are all black part # 10255287. Mine are gray? I have found out the 88-90's # 14104001 are all gray. There does not look to be any major changes other than near the radiator and slotted outer mounting holes.
Could I get you 90's and early 91's guys to look and confirm if your front inner wheel wells are gray or black? I just wonder if GM modded the first 100 or so Gray 90's ones to fit the early 91's mine is #118.

If all else fails I will change both to black but would prefer to keep it original.

Looked at my 90 #2066. Left front liner is black. Mounting bolts look to be like yours.

First thing to check is the casting information on your "old parts"! There will be casting information for sure! Then you shop for a match! The 14104001 can be had - drop me a PM!

My eyes aren't the greatest any more, but it looks to me like my black liners have #14104001 on them?

I had never seen "gray" but I wouldn't argue it. I'd think some sort of treatment has discolored the original and I would have thought that the fascia change from '90 to '91 would require a different wheelhouse liner anyway. I've never physically tried to fit one to the other so I wouldn't argue that either. My '90 is #673 and they're black and at daylight I might actually check for a casting.

Thanks for the input. and yes the 90's are different due to the front fascia. I have looked up the part # from GM as listed in on the Parts CD, They are 10275625 & 626, so far I have found a few different #s but GM had a habbit of changing #'s over the years. The R & L on mine are Gray as the pic shows and are gray all the way thru, this is only the front forward liners all the others are black. I have found a set of NOS with the part # I listed waiting on a reply as to the color. If they are black I will just get the set. If it were any of my other C4's I would just leave it as is.
Just finding it odd that mine were not black as others, I may call Gordon Killibrew and ask him about it.

The part # off the left on my 95 & 96 are 10255287

Yes that is a correct part # for 88-90

For your '91 you want parts with this casting information:

Right side: 10146496

Left side: 10146495

Those should likely be found on '91 & '92 cars only and maybe '93. The material may have changed creating a part# difference in maybe '94. There's one other interim part # between what you have and the original numbers I gave you but I believe they're insignificant.

You need to have a couple '91 owners check theirs and confirm what I've just mentioned.

My 91 #202 are black, I haven't checked the # though. It really isn't very noticeable, you might just want to leave it unless you plan on having the car judged.

Thanks I found a set of NOS with the correct part number. I will just change both so they match. I spoke with Gordon and he told me if they made a change in vendors on the line they used all of the old's first so finding 1 left in gray may never happen. I will never get my car judged I'm just anal about the details LOL.

That's great you found some NOS ones. I know what you mean about being picky about certain things. I guess that would bother me too just knowing it's there. Good luck with the car!
