It's a P38 Lightning.
Quite the handful, and a fairly large plane, wingspan is about 7 or 8 feet.

Other then that - My wife and I foster cats for, and are active in a local rescue group, we like to collect and shoot guns, and just hang out watching TV. Have done quite a bit of traveling around the US (I work for a major airline) - but not so much in the last couple years. (hotels and cars cost too much even when the getting there is free )
In the process of joining a local Corvette Club so will be doing some stuff there in the future...

For winter I have a collection of 1950 Lionel trains on a small (11' x 11') layout that allows me to run 3 trains at once. I have one operating example of about 85% of what was listed in the 1950 catalog. Layout is just big enough to get everything on the table. Also have the 1950 color catalog plus the black and white one that says "Sorry we ran out of color catalogs". And Jim Voter has an even more extensive Lionel layout than I do! -- Bob

Impressive.
I'd like to see a pic of how you've got them stored.
I have about the same number of planes and they've almost taken over my garage completely.
I'm always looking for a better way to store them other than just hanging them from the roof of my garage, besides I've run out of room......
My planes are all fairly large with the bulk of them .40 sized (+/-60 inch wingspan), a few .60 sized (70+ inch wingspan) and a couple .90 sized (90+ inch wingspan).
I have one large 1/4 scale CAP-232 that isn't in the picture.
Nearly all are complete and ready to fly at any time.
I also have two 2 meter gliders, a 3 meter glider and a 3.5 meter glider.
The 3.5 meter glider is too big to store with wings on, at 11.5 feet, it takes up wayyyy to much space.
Addictions are terrible things..........

Hey Rick......how do you know they are from Russia ? They are freakin ugly SOB's ! I wouldn't mind seeing one on a BBQ though. They were brought over at the turn of the century by immigrants and got loose and have been wild ever since.
On the last day of the hunt we head out at 6:00am sat morning and the guide takes us to another spot to another deer blind. An hour later a few come by but they are just to small. So I then see a couple about 250 yards out across this pond rolling in the mud. So I take the shot and miss. It went right between the legs and they took off. Mike said that if we wanted to we could track them but that there are two big super mean boars that would kill us if they decided to charge us on the ground. Said they are about 405lbs with huge tusks. One of his best customer got sent to the hospital by one of them and had to have 86 stitches in his azz and his calf and showed me the pictures. But I told my wife that I'm not going to sit in this deer stand hoping a good one comes by on the last day of the hunt. We are going on foot. We are going to track them down. This property is 619 acres and they are somewhere on it. And we are going to find them. So after walking on the dirt roads for about a half hour we stopped and I heard something in what I can only describe as thick sticker ridden tangle wood brush. And it's so thick it's dark in there. All of a sudden all hell broke loose and I hear branches cracking and I crouch down and I see about four of them that look to be over 100lbs hauling azz about 50 yards into that tangle wood brush so I pull my .300WM off my shoulders and click the safety off and take aim just standing upright. The first one stops and looks at me. But there is a 3" dia dogwoog tree blocking the money shot on him. So he bolts off to the left. The next one comes through and does the same thing. Only this time I put my cross hairs of the Leupold right below his neck so that when he runs to the left to fallow his buddies and gets out from behind that dogwood I'm going to pull the trigger. And that's exactly what he did. I pulled the trigger and that .300 WM went off and it sounded like the world was going to end. I nailed him. He ran 10 feet and dropped on his side kicking for about 10 seconds and he was done for. So now I had to make my way to him and through that tangled mess. I hit him right in the lungs and pieces of his lungs were hanging out the exit hole. And the thing I like most about the way it went down was that it wasn't in a blind looking over a deer feeder. I had to actually go on foot and find them. To me that's hunting. He weighed in at 120lbs.
Us in the deer stand.
