It's understood everyone's situation is different. Nothing
personal. Good luck with the sale!

Agree, that the zr1 group in general let these cars go too cheap. I understand certain situations are unique, but the 90- 92s are going too cheap. the 93-95s have taken a blip up in recent months, especially 95s in sought after colors.

Sometimes we are our own worst critics. We demand more from our cars. It's really pretty typical. I'd rather buy any car from a forum like this because I'd rather buy a car from an enthusiast who takes care of the car. It's probably in very good condition compared to someone who doesn't appreciate it. Secondly, we probably UNDERappreciate our own cars. So you're gonna get a great deal.

Thats about right for the market, not discounting the $3,280 "tip" added to the bill that goes towards Craig Jacksons next Bugatti Veyron purchase
If this is the same ZR-1 that was parked next to ZOHBABY at the Heritage Square Show, then let me be the first to say, whoever buys this is getting one hell of a great deal.
If only I had the garage space, I would be all over this. Seriously, if anyone is looking to own a well kept ZR-1 at a great price, this is the one!
Good luck with the sell Frank. Not that you should need luck. For the price, you are practically giving it away.
I hope to see you at the Grand Lake Show on the 23rd. :-D
BTW, this is my first posting. Allow me to introduce myself to others who have not met me personally. I am TJ, a former white C4 Coupe owner and now a proud owner of a black C5 Z06.
For the last few months, I have been researching for my next dream car, a silver C6 ZR1. Needless to say, I am a Corvette enthusiast. I look forward to reading about the best Corvette version ever put out from those who know best, you the owners. If all goes well, I will be joining the ranks of other proud ZR-1 owners by next summer. Actually, I am surprised to get the ZR1 username. Must be an omen. :dancing

TJ, this is the ZR1 from the car show at Heritage, and thanks for the well wishes. I'm not sure it will sell and I honestly down deep don't want to part with it but some unexpected things came up and I see this as a way out. I discovered another option that i'm working on to see if I can keep her. I remember you from the show and you have a great car. The license plate is rather unique. Hope you get your Z car. They are a blast. I'll see if i can make Grand Lake. Can't promise at this time.
I truly hope you can keep her. She deserves a great owner like you. I knew the first time I met you that you really don't want to let her go. Like the protective father of a daughter on prom night.
I saw another reply by Hammer before yours but not sure where it went. It almost made me buy your car just so I didn't feel out of place. I'm guessing unlike the Z06vette forum where we co-exist C5s and C6s, this one is more for the C4 ZR-1 and not the C6 ZR1.
It's all good. I love all Corvettes and as long as I am with like the like minded, I always feel at home. :-D
I think I know the house rules. Get in...sit down...shut up...and hold on!

TJ, Forgot to say welcome to the forum. Great folks on here especially in the knowledge dept for corvettes. While most specialize in the 90-95 ZR-1 they have a lot of knowledge of other vettes. Also, I was lookin' at my calendar. According to the CCC the show is August 24th correct?
Yes, my bad. It is the 24th.
I am heading up the night of the 23rd so I can get an early start on cleaning up after the long road trip. Paying the tax of owning a black car! I know, I know, I'm preaching to the choir. :-D
And Thanks for the welcome!

I wish to think I could get that for my 94' I dont think he is giving it away at that price at all. I wish him the best of luck and hope the market brings it. Too many have gone for under 15K

Some of us have been proponents of welcoming the C6ZR to our community.
Granted it doesn't have a DOHC so near and dear to our hearts, but it carries
The KOTH moniker. Change happens and I for one think we should embrace it here on the Registry.
So welcome and post here when you get the ZR1. I'd love to drive one.

Franke,
I am sure if you had the car at at Carlisle next week it would sell quickly and at your price. All the C-4 ZR-1's will be parking together and it draws a crowd. Plus you would have the best sales team in the world (fellow ZR-1 owners) all working for you for free.

dredgeguy, (Charlie) funny thing about that is I was born and raised in PA (Pittsburgh) and now reside in Colorado due to military transfer back in 1969. I can't make it this year but I heard about Carlisle car shows long ago and never got there. If I keep the Z, I (we) will attend someday as I do get back there every so often for family events. I saw the events layout and it looks great.
P.S was wondering what WAZOO means?

Franke,
WAZOO is the Washington Area ZR-1 Owners Organization. We try to get together once a month for a maintenance day. I met the WAZOO group last year at Carlisle and they have been just wonderful. They all know their way around our cars and have the tools, skills and are generous with their time. Got a problem, not a problem.....it will be taken care of. They have made owning a Z very special and painless and the friendship will be life long, car or no car.
