Saw the overhead shot of Jim's car in Orlando, and I remembered I took a coup,e of shots of my BR ZR after it had rained in SW Michigan. Had waxed the car the day before and thought this looked pretty neat. I think the pattern on the roof is interesting.

Frank,
Remember Classic Car Wax. People are "rediscovering" carnuba wax and working it into the paint.

Yeah, and ppl are re-discovering how sun on a dark car softens the damn stuff and dust sticks to it like flypaper... Living on a dirt road with a black car...I can tell you ALL about carnuba...with SO many different names on the bottle. (I've still got some, if you want it.)
Nothing like a dusty mile of crushed limestone "gravel" road to super accelerate the aging process on car waxes. No thanks. I'll stick with polymers.
These were taken 4 and 5 seasons removed from the one and only claybar/all afternoon polish regime to initially apply the stuff. After that, wash, blow dry, and spritz on a glaze.

Now, before calling me a WAXER, mind ya I do like a nice shine. The difference is, I DON'T like high maintenance shine, and every friggin carnuba I tried is (compared to polymer) HIGH maintenance!
Just sayin!:dancing

Paul,
Car already had clay bar and Zaino on it. This was a soft or liquid carnauba I put on. Roads are paved here in NW Chicagoland. ;)

Far from where?
My journey was Chicago->Badlands/Mt. Rushmore->Teton Village.
Stayed in Teton Village for a week with 2 trips to Yellowstone. Now from Teton Village to Loveland then Des Moines tomorrow then home. We will have been in 10 states including Illinois on this trip ( drove to Idaho from Teton Village and Montana while in Yellowstone)

I'm probably a little late; if you need a break and want to meet a new member feel free to PM me. I'm in Des Moines, on your way back home.

Frank,
As you know, you can take the boy out of Brooklyn, but you can't take the Brooklyn out of the boy. Bushwick will always be my first home.

When you were in Wyoming with those big, wide open spaces, what speeds did you hit with the Z? Did you let it out to over 150? Plenty of places out there to let her rip......
