Looking at a 90 LT5 with wiring, ecm and transmission. Don't know mileage but lets say under 60000. What is the value? I want to make an informed offer on it.
Thanks,

Depending on how long it has been sitting, care and feeding when it was up and running, condition of gearset..If the ECM is good..

It will take some cash to sort it out....

Just my $ .02 worth

Mileage makes a big difference and these two engines seem reasonable as a target price for a seller (including transmissions) with mileage from 84K ($8,000) to 20K ($10,000).

Then there are Crate engines which go for $10K - $12K more or less excluding transmissions (also excluding ECMs) but including Bell Housings.

ECMs and engine wiring usually go with the engines taken out of Zs but crate engines usually come only with wiring and no ECM.

You have to read the write ups but some LT5s removed from Zs were removed for a reason ;)

I would offer about $2K - $3K less for each of above including the crate engines for a real deal :D

Well, some things are too good to be true. Ad showed a zr1 with the lt5. Asked for more pictures and the ones he sent were an 87 tpi. Some people just don't have a clue! Thanks anyways for the help.

Those prices look a little high to me.
But if they are actually getting prices like that, parting out a ZR-1, even a driver in decent condition, seems like a viable proposition.

Kind of a bummer.
