This is a poll about driving and the driving experience.
Read carefully and ponder the answer(s) as you see it.
No knee jerk responses now. Think on it.

What is the upper most reason why your ZR-1 drives better
when you've not been able to drive it for a few weeks?
(does not include winter for those that are snowed in etc
because that is a forced sequester)

My recent experience is this. After 3+ weeks of great weather
I've not been able to drive my car (traveling).
When I got home the jet lag was too pronounced to take a risk.
Today I drove it!!!
Woo hoo.
What a rush. It seems to corner better, accelerate quicker and pucker my butt faster. Now, why is that?
(you can vote for more than one answer)

Better than what??

More power...
stickier tires...
better suspension...
more comfortable...

...than any of my other cars, makes it better.

But, I can attest that in spite of that, my Z makes a damn poor airplane!!:censored:

second day of driving the car after a long trip.
STILL feels fantastic and the high rpm range purrs.

Nice poll Scott!

I see we are mostly a very pragmatic group. I voted for "all in the mind" and the "other crappy cars". Although we all would agree that everything runs better after an oil change. :sign10:

I've noticed a phenomenal increase in performance after washing the car.

But, I could be wrong.:dancing

NO SECONDARIES!!! :thumbsup::sign10:
It’s all psychosomatic, you’re just imagining it is better with NO SECONDARIES :sign10:

I've heard ripping out the pressure sensors and other systems makes the car faster too.
All that extra weight loss and so very complicated to keep running and all. Things that can fail should always be ripped out, not fixed. That way there are fewer designed in systems that can fail (not). Bwahahahaha :dancing

I told Robert that very thing, just before making my infamous pass at WANNA GO FAST last June. I was right!

BTW...BREAKS ARE FOR SISSIES!!

LOL, Paul! And now you know how to use frame straightening tools! A learning experience.

By the way, "...breaks are for sissies" is when you break your leg. "..Brakes are for sissies" is when you don't get around to it and let your car run off the end of the runway and try and be a tractor plowing up farmland and ponds! LOL>....

When you get the tune the way you want it. The motor is quiet and the exhaust purrs. The car responds to even the slightest change of the pedal.

Good one Paul.....you have a great sense of humor for sure and that is the way it should be

I am very happy you did not hurt yourself experimenting with braking. I have Wilwood Rotors and C5 Z06 Calipers on both Zs.....I am a SISSY :sign10:

You were just hypnotized by all that eliminated secondary power and forgot to apply the brakes you had ;)

ZR-1s always drive better because of the hypnotized state of the drivers
