Tire Rack has the Eagle F1 GS-D3's at $329. This is the tire every one likes so much, is it not? Seems like a great price.

They have been very popular on the Zs: a good street tire; on that I can attest. But, because of shortages, and in some cases need for better drag traction, the Nittos have become "thee" go-to tire, IMO.

What are you replacing them, may I ask?

What's up there Mr. W...

I got 2 NEW F1's - found out a neighbor has a tire wholesale whorehouse in the next town. He had to look around before he found 17 of them in an NY outlet, and found the info on production / reduction number of the 315's by G/Y...

(sorry to boost your thread here efnfast, if you want it out, I'll post in parts F/S)

Thanks Schrade, no need to move it on my part, this is all tire education for me. I was looking at my PS2's and noticed they were getting kinda thread bare. Wife is still unemployed, so hopefully I can wait on tires. Guess i'll just have to ease up on the skinny pedal.

Don't sit on them on my account. Spending has come to a screamin' halt since she quit her job. Don't blow a sale on my account, but thanks for the offer. -Steve

IMO yes. Goodyear's start off as an ok tire , then get hard as hell fast. The Mich's ride much better , traction is superior (except wet, the D3's are hard to beat) only downside to the Mich's are price. But yea get's what ya pay for.

DITTOS on that account!

By the time mine were 3 year old, they began to noticeably slip. I thought it was the mods...well maybe some of it was. But! Over the next couple years, they got noticeably worse until this spring (going into the 6th season) they were like I was on wet pavement all the time.

Huh, that's good to hear. Guess I'll stick with what I have when the time comes again.

IMO No not for regular street tires. The D3s are great. For the racing types the Nittos seem to be the WTG. GC
