Jack stand placement

I need to raise the front of the zr-1 and place jack stands. Is there a special way to raise the car with a floor jack without causing problems?

Just put the floor jack where you would normally position the tire jack. If you have a puck, use that on floor jack. Raise the car high enough to position jack stands under frame or where factory had eye hole to hang chassis. One on each side front and rear. My jack stands have a slot and cradles right in there. In fact, I did this just last night. I need to pull the upper A arms today.
Doors are closed and targa in place.
