What ideas do y'all have for additional group purchases? Let's put some thought into this thread and save some $$$!

Things like...
1.) Samco Air Duct - I know we can do this for ~$130 (new list price is $175)
2.) Spark Plug Wires - you tell me the brand and so on
3.) 160 deg Thermostat - I think $125 is WAY TOO much for a thermostat
4.) Short Shifter - Hurst
5.) C5 Brakes (or other brakes)
6.) Accel injectors - the new ones that work for us - with the correct O-rings (less than 1/2 the price of the best injectors (RC))...but still MUCH better than our stock injectors.
7.) Your idea here...

How about 4.10 Dana Super 44 gear sets??? (or other ratios) along with the speedo correction gears.

C4 Beam Plates?

Coil Overs? (I know...pricey mod)

R/D radiator :-D
I started this thread three times before it stuck...One time when I typed the post..it included the Ron Davis Radiator. I agree...let's try to do a Group Buy on them.

I think this will be in the $400-500 range...but the benefits are significant. The stock radiator is dismal and made quite cheaply...too cheap for an LT5 for sure. I will look into the Ron Davis Group Buy. I have the e-mail address for Doug Schulz (General Manager for Ron Davis Radiators)...and will inquire about a Group Purchase price for us.

Uly,

I'm down for the coils as long as we can find a place or someone to put them on?
I also need those plug wires...how about MSD and why not a new thermostat and injectors....and the list goes on:)

It all sounds good...We just need to approach things one at a time...unless someone else wants to do some leg work. I think the Ron Davis Radiator is the #1 priority ...at least for my car....that and better driving capabilities! Mikko...maybe you could give me a lesson! :-)

Good ideas Uly, thanks for driving this....beam plates seem like a good one, inexpensive and a must for most Z owners I think. Plug wires also sound good, I think the MSD wires are fairly popular.

Hell, I'm interested in about all of 'em...but since wife and I are in the process of international adoption right now, all spare pennies are going to that right now so I may have to wait a while:cheers:

No worries...let's just throw up some ideas...but not literally... LoL

Yeah!! Good one Jeff=D>

I think the biggest mod it is going to see is going to be just the MSD wires...

I think with enough orders we could get them for 995. :-)

Just a thought about plug wires...in the mind set of "I don't have velco on my plenum"...type people....like me!:o

If you look on ebay there is a speed shop on Long Island, NY that sells excess stock(?) I guess. Anyway I bought a set of Magncore 85KV's, LT5 specific for about $140.00 w/shipping. At Magncore's web site the wires were over $200.00 + shipping.

I bought them when I did my injectors, CCV box, 2* actuator system, et al. My reasoning was go once & do it all. I know no powder coat & P n P, so I have to go again!

I can look up the bill for specifics if anyone might be interested...just a thought.

Tom

Couldn't resist. You're such a funny guy:rolleyes: , the truth is you could get um for around 3k a piece if enough were to be ordered at once but no body wants to make the crank brokers mad do they.[-X

Windshield ?
around $500 then it is a C4 windshield.
around $2000 then it is a ZR-1 windshield.

I am new on this site so I probably did not post this in the correct place but my question is what the value is for a 1995 ZR1 with 4010 miles, single owner car? any thoughts?
thanks

You probably need to start a new topic with this and I know the first thing that is going to be asked is color combo...

I hear you're still calling around looking for crank eh? Guess you'll need to suck it up and go to one of the crank brokers.
