Anybody found a good product to clean the intake plenum and valve covers?

Mild detergents and simple green to safely degrease them, but I used a fine polish to actually brighten the previously stained and dulled oem paint. I used Novus plastic polish #2 for this, but another I might try would be Meguires 105/205 clearcoat polishes.

If you need more, I'd say to repaint.

I always understood "Simple Green" even diluted was a "no - no" for most everything on these cars, particularly the LT5 finish and the composite springs. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding but it's what I recall. Nothing stronger I would think than "mild" dish-washing liquids.

I recall something about not using Simple Green or other chemical cleaners as well. Have not heard about the fine polish before. Anybody else have any knowledge/experience?

Windex on a stone cold motor is what I use.

Meguiars clear coat polish brought out a deep shine and removed stains on mine.
