I just had to share. My oldest daughter Heather was inducted into the international junior honor society today. She makes honoroll every year but this was an even bigger deal. I took time off work because I wasn't going to miss this for the world. For a guy like me that didn't take school seriously and then to have a kid thats such a high achiever is just amazing to me. I got choked up and cried as she walked accross that stage a to accept her induction. Megan my other daughter was sitting beside me and asked daddy are you ok? I said I'm just a proud father baby thats all. The speaker said that your kids are here today because they are among the top 10 best and brightest that the United states has to offer and that this is a big deal. Definately one of the biggest highlights of my life.

Cool ! Congratulations to her and daddy. Does she attend a CSCOPE school district? I'm not sure Glenn. I know that the Katy ISD is ranked #9 in the nation. She is in 4 AP classes for advanced math science and social studies. It's to the point that if she ever needed help from me on her homework I wouldn't even be able to help her. Luckily she has never needed to asked for my help.

As a four year alumni of NHS I both congratulate and welcome her.
May she use her intellect to the benefit of the country
and may she always question what those around her tell
her is true.

An added definition for "Permagrin."

2. Result of a child being a success early in life.

Well done and congratulations to her and the entire family.

Thanks everybody. I know its not a big deal to her because it comes easy for her. And I'm glad it's easy for her. She's become interested in the medical field. We were joking around the other day and she said that all of the junior thesbians are going to fiesta Texas. And I said oh really. Who's going to drive you there? She said you are. I said what makes you think that? She says because when I'm a doctor I'll let you live in my big house. I said you've got a deal lol!
