The different plenum, 8 wider, smoother, flatter, instead of apparently 16, air intake channels....is that so there is less turbulent air flow with no secondary baffles in there to get more air in to mix with fuel?

Hot cars. Looking forward to seeing them.

And I thought BG couldn't get any better...
I can not wait to see those cars. The rear clip is completely different on that yellow car.

While I should be ecstatic to see either of those vehicles, I am truly saddened by this information. Whats next? Why did you run for President? Why not ruler.
?? I posted that Lingenfelter was (hopefully) doing this
months ago
I am very disappointed in your response

I don't post often, but have to weigh in here. I whole heartedly agree with David. This is great news for the Registry... having these Zs at BG. I ask that our officers address their issues outside the forum, possibly through their formal meetings. Lets keep our focus on what is in the best interest of the club on this open forum.

A couple of us had a conversation about a month ago. The topic was "How long do you think it will take for the new directors to get frustrated or burned out?".
Didn't take very long, apparently. Glad the cars are coming to BG.

I believe a few beers and great ZR-1s at BG will help reinvigorate everyone! I appreciate everyone's hard work to make us the great organization we are!

I would love this to be a phone conversation. However, our President will not answer or return my calls.
And you are on BOD too right?

Lets all take a deep breath and keep in mind what the registry is about, it should not be about stress and politics

As a Chairman of the Board of one company told me once, "Any time you have more than two people in a room, you have politics."

See, this is what happens when I stop to go out and mow the lawn .
It'll all pass. I'm sure no one is doing things here specifically to piss someone else off. Just a sequence of unfortunate events.
Now kiss and makeup :o

It's actually the same plenum Lance, modified. When you're porting you go bigger, and bigger inside until the ports are siamesed and flow together. Then if you still want more flow the top is cut off the runners and replaced with a flat plate and molded in, increasing the runner volume even more. As far as I know Lingenfelter was the first to do this.
Looks cool, but only good for the big inch engines. If I put that on my stock motor it would go Duuuuh, and stumble from "hyperventilation"

Ok the presence of these cars at BG is courtesy of the owner of these cars, Norm and Ken Lingenfelter, owner of LPE. David and I have been engaged in conversation regarding the talks that I will give at the event and he has whined incessantly about having significant LPE cars there, it's a wonder he did not get tired of talking to me. So the cars will be there, if I need to talk to anyone else re this, please advise same or get in touch with me, plan is for the cars to show up on Thursday, see you all there, where we can discuss these great vehicles and more.
Graham.

Interesting, that the earlier poster, while presuming to lecture the forum on the topic of tact as a leadership quality which avoids spurring conflict, exhibits neither tact, nor leadership, while spurring conflict....

Did you make a video of that?
there was a video on here of the passenger(or should that be Co-Pilot) in one of the Lingenfelter TT LT5's doing a 3-4 roll on. The digital speedo was putting on serious mph in very quick fashion.
1st Zr-1 ride in a LPE TT, wow, tough for any other car to live up.lol

Thats a shame, that was one of the greatest LT5/ZR-1 videos ever. Not very long, but the content was amazing. IIRC it was a rollon in 3rd with 1 upshift whcih resulted in 140mph. It didnt take long.

As everyone can see I deleted all of my post that had any type of derogatory remark. I had a long talk with David Johnson last week which probably should have taken place over two months ago. I would like to say that I am truly and that I am looking forward to working with David in the future.
There is no reason to go over anything that David and I discussed as this is personal between him and I.

hey graham,
I heard that they recorded your session on the TT ZR-1 LPE project
any chance we could get that posted up for download???
love to hear more about the technology, engineering, and challenges you were able to overcome
the heart of the beast with much bigger lungs
how about it David???? wish I could have been there
maybe over a beer next year. time for you to give Norm's car another try
the 9.43 looms large, and with the right track prep (or clearly a better track) you can do it.
my bet is that at MIR here in MD you'd pick up a tenth or two, the DA is pretty good here!
thanks.

Thanks

Thats great news David, anything that is as exciting as an LT5 talk, is Twin Turbo LT5 talk.

Glad that you to David and everyone is getting along again.
