A year or so ago I met someone in the area that was a ZR-1 owner, and also an engineer. I traded him a cal chip for a part, and in our conversation we started talking about oil pumps. I mentioned that I had one that seemed pretty new, but did not spin as freely as the one I had on my rebuild. He said he would take a look at it.....I did not hear from him for some time...and later found that he had passed. I sent a note to someone in the family, advised that he had it, and also noted that it could be identified by a missing bolt in the back.
I had not heard back and did not want to be a jerk....so I kind of let it go...then last night I look on e-bay and there is a oil pump for sale with a bolt missing on the back.....
I guess thats life, not really the new owners issue as I am sure he got it in good faith....hmmmm Win some lose some

Well Ya gotta figure that the wife probably had no clue that it was yours and not his... My wife sure doesn't know what all I buy, borrow, or trade for - not because I'm hiding it - but just because its no big deal to her...

I find it funny that he states its brand new, never bolted up. It's missing the screw and you can easily see the marks left by the mounting bolts!:-D

Dom,
Please call Shaun at Lingenfelter. He is looking for a new 90~92 375hp pump. I know he would appreciate hearing from you. Or, if you prefer, I will buy it from you for him.

I have a copy of the e-mail sent to a relative handling the estate....I reference the pump and missing bolt. Family member was ZR-1 Savvy....not upset about it, I am sure my oil pump was not a priority at the time

I see this pump is still for sale. Anyone know if it an early or later pump? Now he says Used in his description.

If this is the same pump, its did not turn smoothly as the pump that came off my 90 engine when I rebuilt it
