ZR-1 One of the 100 Most Collectible

I don't know if this has been posted here before, I haven't seen it. Hemming's Collector Car (January 2013) ranks the Corvette ZR-1 in the 100 most collectible cars. They list the cars chronologically, I guess to reduce the number of arguments as to which is number 1.

That's awesome! I have some contractors at my home, and they saw the car in the garage. Being car guys, they inquired about the Corvette. When I showed them it was a ZR-1, one of the guys asked, "Is that the one with the exotic motor"? I told him yes, he said he had never seen one before and then called his cousin and told him, "you won't believe what I'm looking at right now". He then asked what it would cost to sell it and I told him, it's not for sale.

I hope he can focus and finish the job.:cheers:

That is how I ended up trading my Nova FOR my ZR-1. Contractor saw my Nova in the garage, asked if it was for sale, told him that everything is for sale, thought he was goofing with me like most people, then 6 months later he wants to trade his ZR-1 that he doesn't like for my Nova. I jumped on that one...:-D

That's interesting, Joe. I had the same experience last week with kitchen cabinet installers. They were't as informed about the Z as your guys, but they borrowed "Heart of the Beast" to read on the weekend. We have to resist talking too much in the interest of getting the kitchen functional sooner than later.
