Hey everyone.
New to this forum.
Picked up my 1992 ZR1 in early April this year. Had its safety done and emission tests here for Ontario Canada. Everything passed.
My LT5 has just over 4000 original miles. I've put about 100 miles on since Friday. Today we went for a 25 mile ride, on the way back...after about 21 miles....I tried accelerating in gear 3 at around 30MPH and the whole vehicle vibrated during acceleration. The RPMS were around 2500. Tried it in other gears and same thing. Turned on the power valet switch, same thing. I do notice a power loss when this happens.
Service ASR and Service ABS lights have been coming on intermittently and will shut off after the engine is shut down and restarted. No other lights are on the dash display.
I don't have a testing tool yet, wondering if anyone has had this experience and what it could be?
Thanks
Paul

Sounds like its time to replace those stock injectors.

Thanks so much for the info.
I've been reading as well those 1990-93 injuectors didn't handle the enthanol well.
Been reading Lucas injectors from RC Engineering or those similar ones from Fuel Injector Connection are the way to go. Would anyone recommend servicing other parts under the plenum while it's open or is the mileage too low to warrant anything else?

Well maybe wires and coils for age vs time. Don't forget the plenum gaskets

Yes thanks the gaskets thanks!
Interesting...I noticed something today on my ZR1. The plate on the dash centre console indicates 405HP. My unit was built in June 1992, so it may have the 93 engine that had the same HP?
Would this make a difference in the fuel injector type? Should I be looking at injectors for a 1993?

that plate is a aftermarket deal . i would call the previous owner and ask if the engine was changed out . i believe it does make a difference on the injectors 90-92 i think the primaries are different than the 93-5s. but dont hold me to it .

Engine is original to car. I thought those plates were standard in the ZR1's?

I also have a 92 and first thing I did was get the stainless injectors from FIC, gaskets, wires and coil packs (4) from Jerry's Gaskets and a Performance Chip from Marc H.
Car ran so strong I almost turned my black interior into brown..........
