Ok, I finally joined the forum

Hi guys....after 7 weeks of Z ownership and membership on the Netregistry, I finally made it over here. Some of you may recognize me from the corvette forums page and I'm still a member there, but Uly convinced me that this is THE place to be for Z people.

Having said that, it feels good to be a part of owning one of the most awesome cars ever built....I look fwd to chatting with y'all.:cheers:

Well...it SHOULD BE THE PLACE! Everyone just needs to come here and POST UP!...Rather than going to CF. This has the potential of being much better for US (ZR-1 owners) with our own exclusive place. Thanks again guys...the more I learn about the ZR-1, the more enamored I am with this machine. I believe that it eventually will be one of the most sought after corvettes of all time and the time for ordinary schmoes like me to get one is now....if I had the $$$, I'd get another one or more.:D

I am all for any idea that will increase ZR-1 enthusiasts coming to our Forum.

There are those who feel we have to many ZR-1 sections as it is. I take their meaning to be that the "other" forum has only one section where any and all ZR-1 related topics, questions, points of interest, etc. are posted, and that facilitates quicker responses. If true, that of course in turn is a reason why people will start a thread there as opposed to here.

However I will put some thought into the idea.

My thinking was that both on the net and on the CF forum the guys and gals talk a lot about LT-5 mods. Like all the time! They do extensive study of these various mods and the resulting gains. I thought if they had a specific spot here that catered exactly to that "LT-5 Mods" they we might be able to attract them here more often esp the net guys because the forum format make it easy to read em all and look for specific mod types. Like a historical library! And if we are to be the true home of the ZRONER then this would be a great attribute to the site! As far as those who think we have to many sections they need to learn how to use the "NEW POSTS" tab where one can pick the specific topics that interest them. Perhaps a "sticky" as the first post in the new section would be a good way to make all aware plus a sticky to announce the new section and a post of the new section in the CF forum a few times and on the net would not hurt either!!! I would be glad to help if you decide to do such. Your friend in the ZR-1 cyberworld K O T He-She Vette Babes....and where is my dress prize!!! LOL

BTW I bet you a donut that RKreigh would be very happy to mod that section and he could draw a lot of them here. You might want to pm him and discuss my idea further for he is the K O T MODS 4 sure! Plus as the VP he is on record here as to suggesting that more zroners should hang here....time to walk the walk!!!

My 2 cents...We just have to start talking about the same stuff that is being talked about on CF...If we talk the talk....they will come. I refuse to go back there. ZR-1 Freedom is RIGHT HERE! Not on the CF. Guys just need to post their same questions here rather than CF...then it will take off. So...c'mon fellas post up! I have been in Hawaii all week and am still now (poor bastard)...and I still get in a few posts!

You know Bryan, between your two posts I think I have the way to start this out which will meet both schools of thought. We can sticky a ZR-1-LT5 mods thread and see what type of response it gets. If it takes off, we can transfer it into it's own section. Between RK/Jeff/Rob and others who have links with pictures, we can have a place for everyone looking for the info to go without having to do a search. When a related mod question is asked on the other forum, all we need to do is post the link to the mod thread which will bring them over.:thumbsup:

I'm certainly interested in hanging out here more often....for some reason my browser/internet connection has more trouble at this site than on cf. I think a "mods" forum is a good idea....if we get more activity over here, it should build some momentum to get even more.=D>

ZF I was waiting for someone else to mention this but I have noticed the same for abt the last month the forum has been slower to respond than usual. You might want to check into it! I run Firefox latest version and have an ATT DSL connection. My other reg forums are all runnin the same quick as usual but this one has been hangin up a lot lately...slow to post replies and respond to commands across the board...what is funny is that sometimes it is just fine and than just a few min. later it is slow again...than back to fast...very sporatic but this way for a month now..

now this last post was fast but it has been so bad sometimes when posting the VB pic's it was like a lock up and I had to bring up the site again and then ok...one time a few days ago it was so non responsive I gave up for a while and then came back and it was just fine as usual...not sure you gonna get anywhere with it but it has not been up to par JIMO..
