About 2 months ago my Z was sputtering (a little different from hesitation). So, I suspected a bad MAP sensor (from earlier experiences) and ordered this one, I think, from the Rockauto - not 100% sure though.
When I disassembled the MAP sensor mount it turned out to be the MAP sensor hose connection between the hard plastic line and the rubber fitting - way too loose. So, I used some crazy glue, RTV sealant and zip-ties to repair the hose. And since my MAP sensor was 4-50,000 miles old and I had a new one, I replaced with the one pictured.
About 3 days ago the symptom came back. Upon disassembly I found the MAP hose to be fine and fitting tight against the plastic hose - hmmm... Just in case, I dug up the last one I removed and replaced it with the new one I had installed about 2 months ago and the sputtering went away - replacement part I used had gone bad in 2 months!
I am posting my experience and a pic of the unit that did not live up to expectation here so that the others will avoid similar mishap.

Closed Loop?
Biggest racket of mechanics is replace-a-part, and send the customer away OPEN LOOP, with no light on of course.
"Well, I can replace x part, and that will probably fix it". Yup - uh huh...
First time Closed Loop, and ... (see avatar)
Glad it's fixed now tho'.

I put the blame on Rockauto for buying it in the first place. Or having it made for them with no quality control. George

Please note that "I think" I bought from them but not positive. May have been other mail order. I'll go back to my e-mail record and see if I can confirm.

I spent a lot of time in China so I tend to be a bit defense on their behalf even knowing that it is not a free country. Wrong forum for politics so I will shut up now.

I have no issue with the fact that anything is made in China. Actually, I am hoping that Chinese parts I buy work the way they are suppose to since US made parts for my Z is becoming more and more difficult to find. It's sub-standard part failing prematurely that trouble me.
