Got my copy in the mail and saw the coverage on Jim. Great coverage. We're doing well with recent ZR-1 coverage in Vette - let's keep it up! And of course, wholehearted congratulations to Jim!

Just got my copy of vette in the mail. Great story! I live in the state of Washington and this will help convince my wife to do a 30 day trip from wa.state to Stillwater, ft Stockton NCM, Bowling Green, and on to Carlisle summer of 2014. Of course sight seeing on the way.

Thanks for the nice comments. I just got my copy yesterday. The reporter who wrote the story, contacted me and asked for a couple of pictures, so I sent him twenty pictures, with captions and a nice writeup. I guess he was impressed because it turned into a much bigger article than they started out to do.

That would be an epic trip. I highly recommend it! Be sure to add in a stop in WAZOO-land so we can meet you and/or provide a ZR-1 escort.

Fantastic!

Yun, if you can snag a couple extra copies for me, I would appreciate it.

Ft Stockton - I don't think you can get into the facility without an employee's assistance.
Stillwater - The facility was closed two years ago and all MM employees are at Fond du Lac now. Nothing to see.

True..... to an extent. Don't forget about Rick Kirk's private museum in Riply (about 15min from Stillwater) He has the original engine from the only Wet Vette and more ZR-1 & LT5 memorabilia from his involvement in support of Mercury during the development & production of the LT5 in Stillwater.

If you are willing to host a small gathering for BBQ lunch at Cherokee Strip BBQ, they will come, especially Rick. Rick can entertain a crowd and tell you more stories than you can remember.

Glad you are on the mend Jim! I am so glad your Alaska trip was covered in Vette magazine. It was an epic journey indeed. I am certain your excellent photographic and literary coverage in detail, was a motivating factor for Vette to make it their cover story. My hope is that I get home in time to get a copy.

I have got to find a copy somewhere. Congrats Jim and glad to hear your making progress. Take your time, several friends have done the same and came out feeling 20 years younger but it takes a couple of months.

This sounds like a future Texas Crew road trip possibility to me.

Just finished the article while I was sitting at Discount Tire. What an awesome trip. Kudos to you Jim for manning up and showing the rest of the world what we already knew about our wonderful Z's. That not only did all the developmental dollars make them stupid fast but it also made them very reliable.

My hat is off to you, my friend.
