Everyone seems to love having a name or package name tied to their performance upgrades: I was kicking around what might be a cool name or graphic to use on an intake or a small plaque for the interior of the car:
Having a "Gaffigan" ported car just doesn't sound so cool:)
FSR=Fort Stockton Racer 425=ported no headers, 460 ported with headers, 500 full port, cammer...full port w/cams
FSR425

Why not FSR500C the + has been used by Callaway before on the TT cars. The FSR is different enough, hopefully the C won't have it confused with a Chrysler LOL

FTS-425
FTS-460
FTS-500
Add a "C" to any Cammed model (Cammed Special)
Ergo the FTS-500CS
by GPS (Gaffigan Performance Systems) or
GPA (Gaffigan Performance Auto)
A LLC of course

I don't know Lee--Is "Gaffigan" any worse than "Haibeck"? --Bob

Gold...GPS or GPA probably wouldn't be the best choices because the first is almost universally associated with Global Positioning System and the second is everybody's Grade Point Average! The LG is short for Lee G. and works with any number of other numbers plus or minus the C or some symbol for C if there is one.
Could even be: LG425Lt5C

It's understood by me at any rate from my business past that any naming should do a trademark search first as just about everything has value and someone might get bent if you don't, go ahead and then find out later the hard way. If you have a middle name you could perhaps consider all three initials, in my case: LEP425-LT5. I like the use of names like Lingenfelter, Haibeck, Calloway.....why not your last name? Just don't shorten it to the first four letters, Lee! LOL.
for that matter, is the "LT5" trademarked by GM? If so, it's use could expose whoever uses it to potential suits. They are such prickly people at times they won't even release our Stillwater Dyno sheets done on each engine before shipment which are parked I'm told in their entirety in Bowling Green at the museum for some reason. I asked and did not even get an answer.

I disagree they are memory cues. That a potential customer may remember due to the association.

Gold....you could call them other names as well for that but the connotation in marketing terms are..guidance and grades which is what people will think with them instead of words like speed, power, macho, control, etc, which is one way marketers might think differently from your view. It is not just memory but more importantly what attributes those memories float in a head last time I heard marketers yakkin about this stuff.
Maybe they do it differently in your state? Whatever works!

PMS 247, Oh wait that is my wife not an engine. PMS 427 would be the engine. See what happens if you invert two numbers.
