Thanks to the ZR-1 Net Registry Forum, I learned about Carter and the special "bling" that he makes for our ZR-1's. I purchased several items from Carter recently and got to show them off at the Mid-Missouri Corvette Cup in Columbia, Missouri this past weekend. I am pleased to say that my 1994 Black Rose ZR-1 won the C-4 class. Unfortunately, I failed to bring a camera so I don't have pictures - sorry, I will do better next time.

Me likes Carter bling. He's working on a one off piece for me now that I'll have for BG. I haven't seen anything he's done that I didn't like. He takes a lot of pride in his work.

The best Carter Bling yet and most overlooked is the Oil Filter Aluminum Cover. It fits so perfectly that when you slip it on the oil filter there is a cushion of air that it slowly lowers on.

Much more to go on this 90' LT5 but the Carter Oil Filter Cover is there.

This may be of interest.......yesturday I took the 91' to a professional to get my AC vacuum leak fixed and vacuum down to 30 inches. All the guys just had to look at the LT5 as they had not seen one before. Got the very unique and interesting vacuum leak fixed and system vacuumed perfectly to 30 inches.
The guys were so impressed with the LT5 they refused to charge me for the AC vacuum leak fix and vacuum :D
Carter Bling is now saving me money. Carter200 Bling (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-zr-1-discussion/3005470-tech-info-lt5-modifications-rebuild-tricks-500-hp-4.html#post1581665201)

Cliff,
If my bling helped then cool deal. Update on your bling shipment. I busted hump and got it boxed and to the PO in time for them to put it on the truck to you, just now. :dancing

They said it'll be in your hands on Friday................. If you need tracking numbers let me know. Later, Carter ;)

D,
Can't wait to see the pics and hear what you have to say about the parts. The wife has me on one of her boondoogles so will not be near the internet till Sunday.

Carter, I got your knobs over the weekend and put them on yesterday. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I mean, I had seen pics and like them but you know...they're knobs. How cool can knobs be, right? Oh, my. I took them out of the box and was like, holy crap these are nice. These are impressive. I'm holding them and checking them out and my wife walks up and says, "Wow. What are those? Are those for the Vette?" So, I put them on and I'm telling you they work better than the factory ones and used in conjunction with Higgyburners powder coated filter cover I think it really cleans it up nicely:

I know the knurling was a PITA to do but I'm so glad I had you do it that way.

Once again, outstanding work, Carter. Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go install my Oil Filter Cover, PS lid cover and Oil filler cover. I'm gonna have to wear shades to work on this thing!

Yes, he does. Which brings up another subject I'm curious about. This is the last page of the HOTB Newsletter each month:

Where is CT Machining? I've only been here around 6 months so correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Carter pretty much the go to guy for custom bling around here? Just seems kind of odd...

Only five of the Supporting Organizations listed above (last page of HOTB) are shown as Sponsors on the zr1netregistry (http://www.zr1netregistry.com/Home.aspx) web site.

Carter (CT Machining) IS the go to guy for custom bling around here. I should know.....Carter has Blinged two LT5s and one L98 for me
And....Carter is a Professional Perfectionist :handshak:

You guys are so kind and thanks for the kudos. Dave, I did your knobs a little different on the top finish as I usually face them off to a mirror finish but decided to do the finish you see as I know you wanted to have more unique than usual on the knobs.
Yes, Cliff you have kept me hopping for a few years on your projects but I'm not complaining and hope others see the quality of work I do and will want to mods their cars, does not only have to be vettes.
Thanks again guys

Doing the custom items for our Z's since 1995 should qualify me as an "organization that continually supports the ZR-1 community". :dancingWhat do you guys think................

Thanks for bringing this up. The board is discussing newsletter "sponsors" tomorrow and we will be discussing who is a sponsor. Great timing!
