I didn't want to steal a previous thread but did spark a question. I have been told my 91 owners that there is an accessory plug under the console. Did the 90's have one as well? I have had my console apart several times but never seen one.

There's no mention of one in the '90 FSM or owner's manual. I assume an accessory plug is a 12V outlet like the cigarette lighter, for plugging in something like a radar detector or other 12V device?

Rich,

I think IIRC, the accessory plug started in 1991, found mine on my 91 ZR-1 behind the FX ride control switch with a piece of electrical tape covering the connector.

On my 91 L98 car, I used that same accessory plug to power my bolsters and electric seat tilt function on my 90 sport seats I just installed in it. It is a switched connector so it will only power up with the key on.

No only 91 and GM put it there for one reason. As a power tie in for your brick cellphone
