So I am working on a project on my Z and I acquired some later dash pieces with Dulso on them.
here is what I found that works to remove the dulso without damaging the parts:
Mostenbocker's Lift off Graffiti Remover:

Here are the parts I removed the dulso from ( Radio bezel has a homemade hole for my 1990 power key.

From what I read, it is the rubbery type coating on 92- later cars

=Jeff=,
The trick is to acquire the lettering. BTW, one guy I read about used nail polish remover w/o the acetone Ink. I had posted a link to a previous thread on this.

YikEs!!!
Chemicals to remove Dulso???
NO!
Fingers. It will rub off with finger pressure, AND NOT MAR the OEM finish underneath.
Unless you're not worried about maintaining the OEM finish underneath...

Not the pieces I had. These will get refinished and have been cut/modded as well
Are there any NOS parts left for the later cars ?

Looks nice.
The 1-din CORVETTE filler plate below the radio ... where did you get that?

That adapter is old. I bought it from a member on the corvetteforum probably close to 10 years ago.
Those are no longer made, it was a faceplate with a mount behind it. Very nice solid piece

Not to hijack the thread but...
Jeff - it looks like your interior was black and you changed the carpet color to red - is that correct? My car has black interior and the carpets need replacement - I was thinking I might make a color change to grey

Yeah sort of.. LOL
When I bought the car it was black on black. Then I found out the car was born with red gut. when I changed it I used Torch red from a 94-96 and added that with some black I have a Black/red interior now.. a mix I had Black with red gut seats but now have a set of Black 94 Sport seats.. Future plans will be to get red leather for those seats.. maybe a two tone.. not sure yet
Here is what is red now:
-Cargo sides
-Door sills
-Console Sides
-Door Panels
I have most of the red carpet ( used ) but I think I will buy new when I decide to change it up

Ha, Ha, - OK sounds like you "inherited" the color change and are working back to original. I am thinking of instigating the change.
There are lots of trim pieces (belts, speaker grills etc) that should color match to be 100% correct. I just find it a bit dark in the car so was going to leave all the trim pieces and replace the worn our carpet with lighter color.

Yes. I think when you change it you can get a nice mix of color with black.

old thread.. but working on a different bezel.. I don't like the new bezel anymore, especially with the tablet..
I want to keep the 94 drivers console side but the 90-93 'wall'
here is the part still in process

Dulso is tough to remove on this one
Once this one is done, I will start on a center console piece as well

I really Hate Dulso. One of the crappiest things about the later model interiors, scuffs easy, gets sticky.
I'd CF that area Jeff but yeah its pricey.
I guess GM had to offset the great features of the 94 and up C4 interior's with a Passenger Airbag, Arm Consoles (Although cheaper crappy one piece door panels) and bigger seats.
And -=JEFF=- remove your rings while working on your car!!!!! :)

Yeah I know.. but I just snapped a pic of it yesterday.. I was not working on it, I was out in the garage for something else..
I wish there was an easy way to remove the dulso

Does this have anything to do with you wanting a C7?

My '94 must have had some aftermarket stuff on it, because once you 'broke' a spot, it would roll up under HARD finger / thumb pressure...

I realized my part is from Corvette America.. I got all of the dulso off.. working on sanding it now. there are flaws underneath that rubberized coating..
got a bit more done on the bezel.. I need to cut the radio opening a bit on the bottom for my tablet.
Then drill holes for Power key and the Volume and balance controls..
Here it is waiting for my acetone/abs sludge to completely dry and harden

Pretty Slick -=JEFF=- hows my down in one plug and play adapter coming ? ;)
On my list..
I have not sourced the mate connector that is on the driver side switch assembly.. that is needed for the 'plug and play' kit.
I have the express down module (2 actually) but I am debating installing the complete window automation module I have for express up and down plus capability from the remote..
if I decide not to do that I will do express down on both windows only using GM modules
