Looks like besides getting some custom mangling installed, the PO might have re-located the dam sides???
This look wrong to anyone else?

Yes that is dead wrong, the air dam ends go on the bolt line behind the ones in your picture. There is a lip at the top of them that goes into a matching groove in the fascia. You are also missing the backing reinforcement plates that the fasteners go through. The center section goes over the top of the silver reinforcement. I'm replacing mine right now and will send some pictures tonight.

Thanks there Starman...
And alas, something else is awry here - they CAN'T be swung rear- center-ward, because the inboard end is against the frame extension (on the passenger side anyway).
I think I have mismatched dam sides (unless all C4 are identical).
Center section is down at the moment...

ed.:
Car is '90, with '91 - '95 body. Pt # is 10149264, correct for '91 - '96, and 10149263, also correct.
But they ain't gettin' moved to the proper location, with out trimming the inboard ends.

Could this be switched between the driver side vs. the passenger side, maybe? Early (1990) part vs. later (91-96) part?

I was going to say, I believe there are two different styles. One for the early years and the later ones.

Here are the photos, yes there were two different sizes - early C4 air dams were shorter, then got taller when the convertibles came out. They are supposed to over lap with the center piece, which goes behind the outer edges.

Thanks!
Shorter - answers THAT question...
And the longer ones ain't gonna' meet up with the center section properly, if trimmed.
Some fab work is in order here; still need snappics of a '90 with '91-up body .

My guess is, and it's only a guess, that to covert 90 to 91 body the most expedient way to deal with the front would have been to use a real 91+ bumper. Then, it would make sense to have used 91+ front air dams. If I remember correct, acual plan view of mounting to bumper is different between 90 and 91+-not just the length.
I would get a set of 91 air dams and see if they match up. If not, can always be returned or exchanged w/ 90 piece.
