Anybody been or planning on going? I will be heading up this weekend specifically to check out the C7.

MM,

I went to the show yesterday. The Corvette always had a crowd around it and I did not see that throughout the rest of the show. Have some pics that I hope to post. It is clearly recognizable as a Corvette and yet it is a thoroughly modern design. There is no way, IMO, round lights have a place on this car. The rest of the car has complex and subtle contours. The tail lamps reflect that complexity. It looks like the kind of vehicle you would enjoy washing and waxing to feel the complexity of the lines. It appears shorter and more compact than the C6 although it is not. It's also lower.
The interior looks great from my vantage point. Certainly Chevrolet has raised it's game on interiors because I was impressed by the new Impala as well. I would seriously consider trading in my 92 ZR-1. If only it had a 32V DOHC Lotus it would make the decision so much easier. That and the price. :(;);)

I saw a Youtube video (csg) of the LT1 being assembled. I'm not sure it was accurate, tho it appeared to be. But, if so, I was appauled by the fact that the bottom end resembled the more traditional descrete main cap configuration instead of the proven girdle design. If true, I am not impressed.

Show was awesome! I was very impressed with the C7! I'll start a thread in the OT section with pics and video of the C7 and others once I get them uploaded.

It seemed to me that Chevrolet in general and Corvette specifically stole the show. The biggest crowds BY FAR were around the C7.

Paul,

IDK, that looks like a pretty deep skirt. Probably takes place of full girdle. Still a 4 bolt main w 2 side bolts.

4 bolt mains...girdle would seem superfluous. Are they really that much superior anyway? I am not convinced but maybe I'm misinformed. I am certainly no expert.

I'd love to see a video like that for the LT5. That was actually pretty cool.
