This is from a bonafide source working on the Corvette High Performance Team. He's pretty giddy about what's coming down the line but cannot be any more specific than his quote to me below. And yes he is the real deal.
Trust me! He did the Open Loop calibration for the LT1. Open Loop as in
Wide Open Throttle.

"I really wish I could tell what is happening in Milford; but I can't. I'd love to share what I've been working on for the last year and what is coming for the next 3 yrs; but I can't. You probably wouldn't believe me anyway if I did share. Put it this way, GM High Performance is venturing down unexplored territory. If you think the C7 is awesome....good grief, it's gets WAAAAAAY better."

Something tells me you'll eventually get there, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sounds like there are more goodies on the way and that was the point of my posting his quote. He's pretty pumped.

just giving you a hard time :) i'm sure the performance of the L88 model will be breathtaking...it's just a shame they had a sale on vents when the car was made

Now THAT is funny :icon_boun

So sounds like the high reving engine will see the light of day.
F1 sounding engine in a vett.
I wonder 10,000 or 20,000 rpm?

A GM's U.S. VP of Performance Vehicle and Motorsports wouldnt delve into detail, but would say that "it won't be long after it (C7) debuts that higher-performance LT1's will be hitting the streets and tracks everywhere."

So much for some of the people who are saying that the C7's E92 ECM will be "un-hackable".

GM has also reapplied for the Z28 and L88 trademarks. Probably for the 2015 6th GEN Camaro, possibly with 427 cubes. A GEN V 427 with DI would be cool for sure. The LT4 RPO is to be used again as well.

This new C7 is going to be a car that will have no apologies. It is incredibly engineered and we have only seen the first generation. Tis cars performance will set the standard that everyone will want to acheive. Form following function with calculated style. I am so impressed what the engineers have done despite incredibly difficult parameters in which they had to deal with. I am confident that the C7 will be the very first Corvette that can truly benefit from the racing program and will be the envy of most manufacturers. Congrats and I am really excited to see the new C7R.

Maybe talking about the new Z06 at ~600hp and the new ZR1 at ~700hp

the C7 is growing on me fast. I have no doubt that it will prove to be an awesome car.

Just listen to what these guys are doing w the technology. It sounds amazing.
Basically they are saying they have integrated systems like ABS, steering, torque management, suspension control in a holistic sense. The computer power in this thing has to be incredibly sophisticated. Basically, mimic the GTR capability but w 2 wheel drive for a lighter more toss able package. If u haven't seen this video, it's pretty impressive based on what they are saying.

Man, that car is a beaut once you hide those hideous tail lights...
