Coming Soon: Rippies Assault on Le Mans

Ok guys we are working on doing a story on Doug Rippies 24 Hour run at Le Mans back in 1995 for an upcoming Heart of the Beast issue. This has been touched on in the past but we are hoping to dig deeper and talk about things that have not been brought to light much. Since 1995 the car itself was left overseas and has been RACED. However without the LT5 power plant. It has now been put back the way it was originally constructed. Here’s a couple of Past pictures and a few of the car now. If anyone has a story or picture post it up!

Dan, one of my all time favorite race cars. What a beautiful and bad azz looking car. I was totally into this car when it as introduced. I was buying lots parts for the race car from DRM at the time and I was infatuated with this car and their effort. I just recently talked with Randy @DRM and he shared some unbelievable stories with me regarding the Lemans effort. Thanks for the the great pics. The car still looks great today as it did back in its day. If you need some additional stories about this car shoot me a PM. I am sure you talked with Doug and Randy but if I have something to add I will be more than happy to do so. Thanks again for the article coming up and the great pics. Can't wait.

:o this is proly redundant info....but at last yr's Gathering Graham was talking about that LeMans effort. He was there helping to make one good motor from two overheated ones. Maybe it's worth a shot to hit him up for some input? :o
