Can not Get ToRenewal Membership At Registry Store It Just Post New Membership

Did you log in frist? If you didn't or can't you'll have to work with
Dave K. to get that resolved.

Just FYI to anyone new, to "renew" your membership. Go to:
http://www.zr1netregistry.com/Home.aspx

Then login (very important step)

Now hover your mouse over the word "MARKETPLACE"
then click on "REGISTRY STORE".
Now click on "Membership".
Now click on "Renew Membership (2013)"

Fill in the details including your membership number if you want it to show up when you check out.
Click "Buy Now".
Pay close attention to ALL info especially the State. Make changes necessary.
Click "Review Order".
Note even if you're using a card continue to click on "Place order now". You can continue to check out using your CC via PayPal as a guest.
Or if you have a PayPal account you have the option to use it.

This is embarising, but I forgot my username & password. I tried using my forum name and password, no good. I cannot remember if I ever registered. I have looked for last years membership infor to retrieve the generic login info, but can't find it. I've been a member since 2005. Please help, I want to renew!

Hi John

The generic login doesn't work now, everyone has individual ones. You should have received an email with the details but it may have got lost or marked as spam. I'll send you your login details again.

Thanks

Dave

We used to be able to order more than one shirt.

May I also suggest that the site have the APO/FPO, etc. listed for the military/personnel stationed overseas. I was not able to select my FPO, "AP" (Armed Forces Pacific) and had to select CA = California instead. Hopefully the address used for shipping the membership will be my Paypal address because it might not make it to me and get lost if CA is used for state instead of "AP". Thanks, Craig

Thanks Dave!! I just re-upped!!

We used to be able to order more than one shirt.

Dave Kelly just added that today!

If you want to add a shirt we can do it without any additional shipping charges

DaveK

To order an extra shirt you need to add the membership to your cart and then add the shirt from the apparel section of the store and then check out. If you missed it just do a separate order for the shirt and we'll take care of it at this end.

Thanks

Thanks Dave. I'm not sure how feasible, but I don't think I'm the only one that is overseas with military address. I appreciate it as I don't want it shipped to the black hole. I did also email my receipt email to membership address for the Registry to inform that the address is not correct on my order and provided the correct address since it did not appear to pick up the Paypal address.

If we renewed our membership back in October or November for 2013, I figure all the e-mail reminders about re-upping are on auto pilot??? Sorry to be lame with the Q's.

I think anyone that renewed that early should be made to do it again just for trying to make us all look bad. :blahblah:

The previous board gave the free membership right along with other privileges back to the Registry.

To address Tom's point. Yes the emails reminders were sent to all members automatically. I've been working behind the scenes to implement systems so people that have renewed shouldn't get reminders in the future. If you renew offline though there may be a delay while the renewal works it's way through the mail.

I can only pay by paypal?

DaveK
02-10-2013, 05:32 PM
Kevin

The Registry chose to process all online transactions through paypal. You don't need a paypal account though. When you checkout and the paypal screen appears, there's a link that says "Don't have a PayPal account?". If you click that you can pay using a visa etc.

Thanks

Dave

Dave,
I'm not sure I like having to use paypal, I don't have a paypal account and I don't want one. I an pay as a guest but it's asking for my phone number. I'm not sure this is the best way to have members renew

DaveK
02-10-2013, 05:51 PM
Most online payment systems ask for a phone number as a backup for contact in case of problems with a transaction. You can renew offline, by filing in the following form by check or credit card

http://www.zr1netregistry.com/Portals/0/MembershipForms/Membership%20Renewal%202013A.pdf

Renewing online is more convenient for most people.

Thanks

All past-members can renew rather than joining new and we encourage that to help us maintain accurate records. If you need any help logging in just drop me a line by pm or email and I'll be happy to help.

Thanks

In the General Section (Forum News) I see there are some 946 posts. I actually see only 66 total posts when I open up Forum News. Does that have something to do with being a Paying Member?

We no longer have "Reputation Points" and the last post in that sticky is dated 2008 with nothing said about "Reputation Points" no longer exist. Why "Reputation Points" no longer exist would be Forum News.

It ALL relates to Renewal in regard to being (or not being) a Paying Member I would say as there is definitley a difference on what a Paying Member sees and what a Non Paying Member sees when on the Forum. I actually would like FULL Transparency before I Pay To See ;)

Cliff, when in Forum news, if you look below there is display options. Change the option to display from the beginning, not the last 100 days.

:sign10:
That explains that :handshak:

The last post in Forum News was in January 2013 so I guess I did not miss much ;)

The Forum News section keeps reverting back (after I change the option to "from the beginning") to show threads from the last 100 days it appears but just for Forum News. The other 4 sections under General show threads from the beginning without reverting back to last 100 days everytime I look at the section.

Is that a correct observation?

There's not much I can help you with, so I jumped on the opportunity quickly, lol.:handshak: My guess as to why there is no longer rep points is because the few ruined it for the majority and it was deleted because of it.

Ya......Just that the sticky appears that there still exists reputation points when in fact that is not the case. Anyway......not an issue just clearing up factual vrs non factual information. :p

And.....that little tip related to Section starting points Display Options was a great help :handshak: I had no clue.
I still am trying to figure out why some Sections seem to revert back to different starting points. I bet there is an option to set the Section starting points so they do not change :D

I got it......I bet that being Forum News.......Old News is No News and Old News is over 100 days old so that option is set and reverts to 100 days each time you look to keep things simple.

ALL my simple ISSUES regarding Club News and Forum News have been addressed very nicely....appreciate that.....I guess since both my 90' and 91' Zs are running so perfectly I have nothing else to think about :D

Except taking some more photos next week of the SW Offroad Header and SW Exhaust installation in my 90' and posting a sound video ;)

Vilant accurately described the means for accessing older threads in the Forum News section.

As to Rep points, this has nothing to do with club membership vs. forum membership. As it has been relayed to me, it was essentially decided unilaterally by one individual without any consultation of myself or others.

There's not much I can help you with, so I jumped on the opportunity quickly, lol.:handshak: My guess as to why there is no longer rep points is because the few ruined it for the majority and it was deleted because of it.

While there were a couple of forum members that used the system in an inappropriate fashion (i.e. reputation blasting), this was not the reason for the system being disabled.

While there is nothing wrong with making an inquiry about what happened to the reputation points, this is not on topic with this thread. You could discuss it in a specific thread in this section if you choose, but no longer in this thread.
