I dont know what the room rate at the Marriott is. However if it is somewhat close to the Holiday Inn in price Breakfast is included and we always do stuff at night with the FBI group.

Hey, Frank. I was planning on talking to you about caravaning to BG when we went down to Corey's. My plans were to leave on Tuesday and see if I could get 5 or 6 of us together. I'm suffering from massive depression right now with the absence of the Blue Beast for the last 3 months so I haven't been as diligent about rounding up the Texas group as I was planning on. But, hopefully she'll be ready to pick up here in the next 10 days or so and I'll get my mojo back.
If you're going out I-30 you'll be about 2 miles from my house. It ought to be easy enough to hook up.
The road to BG from just about anywhere in Texas seems to go through Texarkana so anybody that wants to join us can meet us there. Then it's only about 8 hours to BG.
Anyone else from Texas want to join in? There's strength in numbers and a whole lot more fun! As far as that goes, anybody that wants to join from Arkansas could join as well.

I live in the DFW area. Little town called Keller, next to Southlake.
Looks like you will be in Flower Mound as a stopping point. I live 15 min from there.
What day will you be leaving? We could sync up at the Bass Pro shop in Grapevine the jump on 635 and pick up Dave in Rowlett before meet up with more folks in Texarkana.

My plan was to leave on Tuesday as well however, if the group is larger for a Wednesday departure then that works for me as well.
At this point I plan on trailering mine up. Could be good insurance for our group.

I wish it was just "a" pin hole. Another one popped up in the exhaust port and I've been told it's going to be tough to get to. Hoping to hear something this week. If anybody can fix it these guys can. They do Corey's head work. He says it looks more like a lab than a machine shop.

Anyway, I'd much rather go with The Gang then go alone. Tuesday would be nice, tho. No rush and extra time in case something happens. But, I'll do whatever the group wants to do. (Until we pick a name The Gang is good for me).

1. I'm not a "hillbilly". I'm from Oklahoma. My grandfather was from Kentucky.
2. I spent the last 19 years in the DFW metroplex where I was based as an airline pilot at DFW airport.
3. I was the Southwest Regional Director for the ZR-1 Net Registry and had a ZR-1 display at the Lone Star Corvette Classic in 2011 with four C-4 ZR-1's and five ZR1's including a 100th Anniversary ZR1 in black. Pictures are on the Net Registry website. Ask the President.
4. I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma which is where one of the original rednecks lives in Norman, Ok. Big Dog Daddy is what they call him.
5. Where were you when I was looking for ZR-1 owners in North Texas?
I am taking it easy even though they got me scheduled to fly from LGA to MIA tomorrow morning.
Have a good night!

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but did I touch a nerve or something? If so, I apologize. Reading posts can be tricky. Sometimes it's hard to tell if someone is offended or mad or just joking around. I see a lot of I's in your post so it appears as though you felt the need to post your accomplishments for some reason. Again, maybe I read it wrong...
You stated you had a name for the Texas group but that we wouldn't like it. Since a typical stereotype of a Texan usually envolves being a redneck I thought I might bring up the typical stereotype of a hillbilly since your profile shows a KY residency. Kind of tit for tat. If that is a touchy subject again, my apologies.
If you were looking for North Texas Z owners prior to Sept of last year I have a great excuse if you'd be interested in hearing it. If it was after Sept I had no idea you were looking. My bad.
So what's you're suggestion for a name? I can assure you as Texans, we are pretty thick skinned. We can take it. Just don't expect us to take it laying down.

The agenda will be posted on the website once finalized.
Corbusa: Generally people make their own way to the museum, the hotel is just where most people stay, though I'm sure you could hook up with people there and travel together if you wanted. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the museum. The registration fee usually includes admittance to the museum and there are no additional fees for parking.

Probably I-30 to Little Rock where we pick up I-40 to Memphis then on to Nashville and then 65 north to BG. Unless we want to use some back roads that's the "highway" path.
