This Sunday night there will be a live video feed of the unveiling:
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/c7-corvette/133364-live-video-feed-2014-c7-corvette-unveiling-sunday-night.html

I know where I'll be.

I have the distinction of being the same age as the Corvette brand having been born on the day of the announcement and showing of the original C1.

With the exception of the C5 - C6 all generations have been greatly different in profile. Will the spy pics be accurate? Will there be anything gross about the new design? Will it still be affordable?
It won't be long now.......

I prefer to call it "age challenged" or "pre-geriatric"

I'm anxious to see what they look like, too. I don't know if I'd call any new Corvette "affordable". I think of a small sedan as that, that's just me though, lol.

Well, that's it.
The new "Stingray " is born.
Corvette is now 60 yrs old. (in a few days)
The "suits" were not impressive to me.
The car is.

it's awful. whoever designed the rear end should have been drowned at birth for the good of all corvette kind. Did the camaro not sell as well as they hoped and they had a stock pile of tail lights and they thought we wouldn't notice? Big vents on the rear quarters, so water will flood whatever is under then in the rain or being washed?

I'm so pissed off i'm going to go watch ted

Separated at birth

Really it's just the front that is similar. Vette is much more angular. I like both till we get to the backside.

Scott,
2000 psi is not all that high. Common rail Diesel engines today run with fuel rail pressures of 25,000 psi.

Yah, I'm sure there are higher pressures in air craft carriers and locomotive diesels too. Come to think of it there are hydrolic systems that run 30,000psi that carried that space shuttle. But then they are totally different animals too.
I don't know of a corvette or other gasoline engine with 2000 psi.

Definitely has a few "sharp" angles like the Aztec.
I suppose I'll get use to it like a bad fitting tooth crown.

Is it not to better vaporize the fuel; like in the Chevrolet Traverse???

This is a freakin' joke. Did they have to glue on the side trim piece behind the front wheel that Cadillac had left over? Jeebus!

I've been trying to decide what my next project/toy would be...I really wanted to build a giant horsepower FRC, but I now think it will be a twin-turbo Ford 5.0....

I am so over Government Motors.....

Of all the sharp what they are calling "angular" pieces that just
don't fit, it has to he the classic lover behind the front wheels. Gezzz
Gross is the only term that comes to mind. Well, that and Aztec.

I too will wait til I see the C7 in the flesh before I pass judgement, I do like the silver and gray colors kinda makes it stealth looking. My daughter sent me this link last night:

Note the "angular" tail pipes at the end.

Me too. There still seems to be a bit too many louvers but hey, they're all functional. And the thing has "attitude".

The C7 Stingray can be had with a starting price of $51,995.

The C7 is a cheap date compared to the LT5 powered 2nd iteration of the ZR-1.

I really like the C7. IMO, it screams for a DOHC motor although I understand the arguments about weight, packaging, balance blah blah blah.
