I'm not sure if the C6 ZR1 qualifies for this section, if not, this thread can be moved. But I came across this video today and figured I'd share it with the ZR1 crew. It is 2012 ZR1 taking on the 2013 Viper in a burnout test.

As they said, it is impressive when a car can spin its wheels all the way up to 80 mph. The ZR-1 burnout stripes were 514 feet long, about 100 feet longer than the Viper. I'll be there are a few of our cars that could come pretty close. - Bob

Let me see if B = Bad and S = Shocks.

Any, body roll would be a problem!!

Couldn't agree more, John. Let's just get the crappiest tires on the planet and start bouncing off the rev limiter. :icon_scra

Ever since it cost me about $1,000 for a pair of new rear goodyear eagle f1's I have no interest in burnouts. That morning on the old tires on the way to the shop to get the new ones I did melt some rubber off though...very, very easy to do.

Dittos. However, a diesel truck at Beach Bend during the 2012 BG gathering broke tracktion @ the line. He feathered the throttle to try to hook back up but couldn't. He ended up burning rubber the whole quarter mile. He went through the traps @ over 100 mph...still burning...Just sayin, I was impressed!

This guy at the gas station was bragging that his diesel dually could burn rubber.
I asked him what diesel dually can't!!
So when I left, I done a burnout with my Topkick.

That's easy... with that snow plow hanging off the front the back wheels barely touch the ground! :dancing

Does the '38 do burn outs?

I don't know...yeah the ACR is great and it holds the new Nurburgring record of 7:12, but I still think I'm more impressed that a stock ZR1 or Z06 with all the creature comforts runs the ring in 7:19 and 7:22 respectively.

In my opinion, if you have to put out a race version that's stripped down to the bare bones to beat "everyday" drivers, it's kind of lame....maybe there will be a production version of the C7R ;)?
