Don't know if this is the appropriate section, but I am kinda stoked, I won this on ebay tonight:

I have been looking for the right C3 & I think this might be it. 1980's era magnuson twin screw blower, Doug Nash 5 speed. Looks like that hot voluptuous girl in 11th grade, curves in all the right places. I can't share the excitement with my wife, because she'll cut my Kahunas off! Thanks for letting me share. Please excuse if I broke forum rules, I am just excited.

No, I did find it by accident. I think I have some sleeping disorder, I can only sleep for maybe 6 hours & have to be quiet, so I looked up my favorite search & kinda fell in love. Did my research on the supercharger.
Kevin, we'll have to tie up......I live 3 miles from Beaver (Yes, aren't you guys jealous, our County seat is named "Beaver"?)

Sweet, She will be a beast to drive with the twin screws. If I remember correctly my brother had either 295 or 315/40/16 on his 77 and they fit in the wells nicely.

Just got off the phone with the seller. He really doesn't know much about it, he took it in trade on another car. He said the guy had 28K in the motor.....of course, it could be a tale, it could be they put 28K in the supercharger & bling, or could be maybe some hardcore internals & great ported heads....who knows at this point! I guess I'll have to see. Still, it looks like a good deal....just don't know how good. I read the displacement is a little less than a GMC 4-71 with better efficency. I also read a number of 5 PSI...rule of thumb is 20hp per 1 PSI. I will let you guys know.

Nice car! I dig it, but no title? Bill of sale only? Will you have any probs registering it in your state? Just curious.
Good luck with your new ride!!

The seller is a dealer, he says not. He says he does a lot in Carlisle & knows exacly what I need. He seems like a OK Joe.

One of me favorite body styles,had a 1980 L-82 and a 1981 4-speed Coupe.Almost bought a 4000 mile 1980 L-82 before I bought my ZR-1.For me the ultimate Corvette would be a 1980 L-82,Yellow-Tan cloth interior,steel ralleys with the T-Top carrier option.

I did get my car! Of course, It came at night, with flurries coming down & the wind howling. It looks really nice. I drove it about 25 miles to put it at my new house. The only incident was one of the aftermarket Mirrored top had the adhesive come off from the glass & I was afraid of breaking it if I went too fast. Makes a lot of machanical noise! The seats are awesome & extremely comfortable. I think heads & down it is all stock. It was put together in 1982! I think I have a winner!

Glad to hear you made it home ok. Mechanical noise is not a shock.

Congrats on the "new" stable mate for the Z! Comparing my wife's 69 to the Z....well....they may as well have come from different planets. How-some-ever, I love working on that ol' war horse. With a mild cam and headers and side pipes, she "rude, crude, and socially unacceptabe", but I love 'er anyway! And, there is an 81 in my driveway - rescued from a sh*t-fist mechanic who all but destroyed the damn thing. But, thru its obvious trials and tribulations, the one thing that stands out is how comfy the seats are; the whole interior is quite refined. the late 80s C3s made excellent cruisers - not to mention looking beautiful while doing it!
Congratz! Course it ain't real w/o picutres... WE WANT PICTURES!!

It's been since early summer since I drove my C3's. I was ferrying them to my new house. I remember saying "Boy, I remember those squeaks", actually kinda nice! Then I heard them again last night......it was comforting, really goofy! The seats in this one are recaro's, if you drive a C3, think about buying a set. The mechanical noise was the blower.
