Don't worry guys, I don't plan on drinking it.
It's a much better investment than buying ZR-1's I can assure you.
Screaming Eagle has the reputation of being the best bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley.
They only make a few hundred cases a year and they only sell it to members of their wine club.
In order to join their wine club you must fill out an application and then wait for someone to drop off of the list. There is typically only one reason that people drop their membership. May they rest in peace.
I was on the waiting list for 7 years.
My allotment of Cab this year was three bottles at $750 per.
It currently retails at around $1500 to $1750 a bottle.
I had it on display at a local wine specialty shop at $1250 a bottle and it sold in 1 week.
The Second Flight is something new, this is the first time they've released it. I suspect it will double or triple in value fairly quickly.
I would dearly love to know if it tastes any good, but I'm too cheap to find out.
I wish I had been able to join the club back in the mid 1990's.
The going rate for a bottle of 1992 is around $6000.
It was $75 a bottle back then.

I'm more comfortable with collecting gold and firearms. I'd be too tempted to taste that.

That's kind of like owning a ZR-1 and never driving it because with every mile it depreciates a little more. Sorry, I'd have to drink it. If I can afford to buy it I'm gonna enjoy it. The joy for me is not just the ownership, it's the "usership".
To each his own...

If I ever get back near Folsom you can supply the wine and I will supply the per-embargo Cubans, It will be about three hours of bliss.
That was a very nice ZR-1 jacket.
