Yup, worried about friends in the NE. I've been following it closely.
5-10ft surf over normal for NY city. Not good.
Even with 1st Amendment... martial law can be declared to trump it.
Could happen in NYC if things get bad enough. It would only be temporary.
It's how our system works.

I hope the damage won't be too terrible. Your definitly in a bad spot. Did you clear out already? I have a condo in Ocean City NJ, 1st flr. Probably have 2' of water in there right. At least it's not my permenant residence, but I have flooding issues here in PA. Let's all hope for best, but be prepared for the worst.
