Hey! My dad purchased a '91 ZR1 last October. The car had about 12,500 on the odo when he bought it. It has only moved for two car shows since then. I have been trying to convince him that the car needs to be driven more. He sold me his older Vette, a 1980 with 37,000 miles on it.

Thanks for reading,
Kyle

HiYa Kyle!
Welcome aboard. :hello:

You are wrong. Your dad does not need to drive the ZR1. It's probably too much car for him anyway.
I'll gladly take the chore of driving it off of his hands.
I'll make sure that the carbon does not build up on her valves and that the seconday injectors get used, often.

Actually, all kidding aside, he does really need to drive it once in a while. If for nothing else, he needs it to recharge... PERMAGRIN!!

Both of my boys have asked if my ZR1 is in the will. I've told both of them that they'll have to pry my cold stiff fingers off of the steering wheel and shift knob. :-D

I've actually convinced my dad to start driving the car more. He has put about 200 miles on the car in the last couple of days. He refuses to drive the car during winter and spring due to all the rocks on the road. I don't blame him, all of my "toys" have a ton of rock chips in the front, and I would hate to see the Z like that.

:hello: Kyle!
One should always use up a tank of hi test fuel every nice weekend to foster good fuel flow and keep a ZR-1 happy & healthy...

The rock chips do su$k!

I agree, I try to burn a full tank of gas every nice weekend, but then again my little drop top does a little better on gas. My dad tags along every now and then, but not nearly enough.

Welcome from the upper middle states. Wisconsin to be exact.
The more he drives it, the more he'll want to drive it. I agree however, this car is not for winter driving at least up here with the snow.
