Sad to say....

Paul Farrance passed away last night due to complications from pnemonia and other health issues.

Paul was a true car enthusiast and had serious passion for our ZR-1. He was a Veteran and wanted to be burried next to his brother at Arlington National Cemetary. There is a waitig list for Arlington and take 6 to 8 weeks.

I'm in talks with his Daughter and she will keep us in the loop so we can have a show of ZR-1 support when he is buried.

:saluting:

Paul... Thank you for your service

Paul was a sincere guy with a genuine passion for the ZR-1. Friendly as you will ever meet and loved discussing mods he was planning to do to his car. Always ready to lend a helping hand when there was work to be done. I will truly miss him.

Oh my god I can't believe that! I just drove his new front bumper home from Carlisle, and just like that gone!

I'm in the same town tell his sister if she needs anything to let me know 703-434-0671. Dan.

This news deeply saddens me. It was only about a month ago when we last spoke. Paul was enjoying his ZR-1 a lot.

My sympathy goes out to his family.

Very Sad to hear, he was a great guy that shared a passion for our Z's. I am glad I got to spend some time with him at Carlisle. I will be joining the WAZOO crew in attending the send off of a good man!

I just got a chance to see this(been away).....I dont really know what to say:(,.

Paul and I just hung out at carlisle and talked about his bumper and some tires we are making a deal on (dirt cheap because thats the kind of guy he was) I had the pleasure of meeting him at my house(with Phil and Rich). At the time I had never had the chance to drive a ZR1(even though I had about 400 hours in mine at the time. He and I went to Home Depot to get bolts for the engine stand)...He gave me the keys and said "go for it":dancing...

Some people; you can just see the honesty and selfless kindness in them, The willingness to do whatever it took to hang out and enjoy your passion with your friends, Thats Paul.

I miss you buddy.

I first met Paul at the drag racing event the end of 2011. He wanted to caravan up, so I met him in Leesburg with a few other folks to head up there. He was a real friendly guy, and he talked about his car (which was a bit rough from the previous owner) and the things he wanted to do to fix it back up. He also was a regular fixture at the WMD's, either with some job he wanted to tackle on his car, or just helping out with the other folks who needed something fixed.

I'm sorry to hear that he won't be able to finish his project. Frankly, it's a bit shocking to hear this news. He was reasonably young and seemed to be in fine health.

Here's Paul at that drag racing event, he is next to Jim:

I'm sorry I won't get a chance to get to know him better, he seemed to be a genuinely nice guy.

Bob, thanks for the picture. I knew I had met Paul but was having trouble remembering when. He was at Jim's helping out when WAZOO pulled my transmission and among other things, replaced my flywheel. Very nice guy. I'm deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of such a young man. Godspeed Paul.
