Unfortunately several forum members decided to engage in thread bombing of a political nature for their respective sides of the debate. This became a distraction to the forum as well as a contentious issue.
After consultation with several officers of the clubs board of directors, we will disallow further overt political threads/posts for the time being. This new policy will go into effect immediately, and will last for at least the next 60 days. This will allow cooler heads to prevail after the election is over, and prevent gloating as well.
This new policy may last beyond the 60 day restriction, which will be address in the future.
However if it is rescinded, no thread bombing of an overt political nature will be tolerated.
Those forum members tempted to do so will be subject to having their posting privileges suspended.
Our forum is first and foremost about our love and enthusiasm of one of the greatest Corvettes ever created. As the saying goes, "a ZR-1 is a Corvette, only more so". This is a passion that we all obviously share, and come here to enjoy and discuss.
In that spirit let us revel in what brings us together, rather than what might divide us.
