Noticed I have no reverse lights. Changed the two bulbs but no change.
Any suggestions?

Common issue with the backup switch mounted on the ZF6 tranny on the drivers side.
Make sure it has not loosened up.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad I live in WAZOO land.

FYI, you barely need to jack the car to get to it, though it would be simple at a WMD. Bill B. used to loan out a special wrench that made it much easier to replace, just ship it back to him (or the next guy) when you are done with it. Don't know if he still does that?

That and the high-mounted brake light are a very common switch failure, so 99% chance it is a simple fix.

Are you able to show what tool (and length) is used to reach the reverse light switch without a lift? Thanks!

I bought a 7/8" combination wrench. Cut off and used the open end at about 5.5"

I've got a bunch of wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers and other bits I've modded over the years for a one time job....

Thanks for all the extremely helpful responses! I guess I'll have a much better understanding of the need for a modified tool once I lay eyes on it. I can't imagine how awesome it would be to have a lift!

If you have an Advanced Auto nearby, they loan out tools. I borrowed their oxygen sensor kit and one of the offset sockets worked perfectly. It has a cutout to slide over the wire. Good luck.
