Now THAT'SSSSSSSSSSS some cool chit!!
Thanks for posting, Lee
While they didn't win, they made a hell of a showing for as little backing against the top factories in Europe. Did you see the ZR-1 Registry on the rockers? That's cool!
Thanks for posting Lee.

It's all the same car and still being raced in Europe. This past year it was restored back to the as raced condition.

Thanks so much for sharing those pics. One of my favorite race cars. I was so disappointed that they were unable to get things sorted out. Its just a shame GM couldn't see how helping them out a little bit would translate into a positive improvement in Gm's image at the time. C4's make great looking racecars but then again I am more than a little biased. Thanks again, I have never seen some of those pictures and it got me fired up.

I'll have to dig I have more photos somewhere. The car had much of the bodywork removed along with the LT5. It was running a SBC and the front frame and suspension had completely been changed.

There are a bunch of other cool pictures on the other pages too. Too bad the car number wasn't included with these pictures. It would be nice to know where these cars are at today.

The Rippie Le Mans ZR-1 is in Switzerland it wore the number 30 for the race. Ferrari was 40 and 41 but I have no clue about the location of the F40's. That is one of my all time favorite Ferrari's.

I was looking at all 5 pages. I know Eric now has #0004 and the original discovery pictures are there. There are some very unique cars on the other pages too. Wonder where they all are?
I see Larry's>Frank's>Paul's car there...

Jerry, isn't it when it was Larry Merow/ZR-1 Registry?

It would be curious to know how many of us from the mid 90s are still owners.

Bought mine early 1995. Larry Merow ran his registry until 1999 (I think).

Me too. I went to Bloomington Gold in 1993 when it was still in Bloomington (or Springfield--can't remmeber), talked with Larry, watched the "Nickel on the plenum" demonstraton and signed up for the Registry. Got my 1993 Quasar HIL KING in the fall of 1994. -- Bob

Well, Scott I am one of those old guys now back. I was in until 2007 when I sold HIL KING to Jim Voter and now I have the 95. I missed the car and the people. My substitute during those interim years was going down to Addison every once in a while to have lunch with Marc H. and gaze upon the hearts of the beasts. --Bob

Scott and Bob,
I am also an "old timer." Joined ZR-1 Registry (Larry's) in 1997 after buying my '91 Steel Blue. Stayed active with ZR-1 clubs and at events until its sale in 2004. Now have rejoined after purchasing Frank U's, originally Larry's, '93 Polo Green with the 385. It is SOOOOOO good to be back where I belong!!! :dancing
