I am planning on attending the Fast Cars and Freedom Show. This will be our fifth year that WAZOO has supported this great event to raise money for Fisher House.
Some guys have suggested that the Northern WAZOO guys drive to Tysons Corner together, and I agree!
Let me know who wants to join the caravan and I will pick a meet-up location.

How about meeting up at Katie's Car & Coffee in Great Falls?

I'm going to call the people hosting this event and ask if they could say some words for our fallen Wazoo member Paul.
Maybe we could raise a drink to Paul @ the event.

A great idea David. Put me down for two!
Also, for those who wakes up early "Great Falls Coffee & Cars" start around 6:30 am at 760 Walker Road, Great Falls, VA (about 6-7 miles from Tyson's Corner). Coffee and Cars typically ends by 8:30 - 8:45 leaving just enough time for a breakfast before the Tyson's Corner event. I will be at the Cars & Coffee for those who wants to join me.

Spoke with the coordinators of Fisher House. (they would be honored to say a few words on Paul's service and he passing)
There will be parking for those ZR-1 owners who can pre-register today or tomorrow. (Say my name or ZR-1 @ the top of the forum)
Just send in registration form and they will hold your spot. Donation to Fisher House can be made Saturday Morning.
Weather looks great.
I emailed the form to everyone local, but if anyone didn't recieve it. Let me know
See you Saturday.

With nice weather (which this Saturday looks spot on beautiful) this Great Falls Coffee and Cruize In will draw around 300 cars. Referencing the map below, the area marked <<<<Car Event>>> will fill by 6:30 to 6:40 a.m.; the area marked with ZZZZZZZZ will fill next and say by 7 a.m. a few spots might be available here and there; the area marked XXXXX generally is last large area to fill so if the intent is to have all the ZR-1s together suggest arriving around 6:45 am and grab the ZZZZZZZ area and if fairly full just migrate over to the XXXXXXX area. I arrive at around 6:30 a.m. (maybe earlier) and maybe will see some of you all then.

Charlie,
Thanks for posting pictures!!! They look awesome!
13 ZR-1's! (Bonus, Paul's daughter Megan came with her Daughter Emma)
Megan wanted to thank all who came and had such kind words told to her about Paul.
Great day celebrating active duty, veterans and soldiers who have died serving our country.
VERY impressive charity that houses families of wounded veterans that are @ Walter Reed and other Hospitals around the country.
Thanks for all that came to celebrate our Wazoo brother Paul and give to a very worthwhile charity.

The ZR1's were the largest collection of cars in the show and we are the limited production units. Speaks volumes for our group.

Note from Stephen and Francine that hosted the fisher house event
Guys,
We wanted to take a moment to send a personal note of thanks for coming out and supporting us on Saturday in such large numbers. It was really impressive. We are very grateful. It was great for me personally to talk to you (David) and to Megan, Paul’s daughter, for a moment there. We already told you how we wish we had more time to talk to you and all of our great participants but as you know we are running around like crazy making sure the Show is going off as planned. It might seem like not a lot to do but believe me it is so much that we cannot take the time we wish to chat with everyone.
We were glad we were able to catch you at the end while you were taking the post-show photos and talk briefly again. I hope you know that we were thinking about Paul and all he meant to you guys and his family. We hope that our Tribute Song, which we play at the end of our Show every year, had special meaning for you guys this year.
I got so caught up in the Ballot tabulations toward the afternoon that I did not get a chance to dedicate a song to Paul as the minutes slipped away from me there but I think all of you know we are very sincere in our sympathy toward you and his family and we are very thankful you all came out and chose our Event to celebrate his life that day. We are honored.
It was great seeing you. We hope you enjoyed our Show. It was a great day for us as we were so pleased with the turnout and everything that happened. It was a great day for Fisher House and for our Troops both past and present who all of us honored together as an American Family on Saturday.
Please pass on one more time our condolences to Megan and the family. They can be Proud. He made it to “Arlington” as a hero.
(Look for updates as to the total we raised and many many photos on our website soon www.fastcarsandfreedom.info )

I wish I could have made it, but I'm in south america. I still can't believe Paul's gone. I'm sure he would have been proud of the ZR-1 turnout in his honor for a good cause.
