Wow....
Carlisle 2012 was a success!!!! 60 cars Friday and 100 Saturday!
Unsure of the amount of Z owners without cars, but attendance was high. We were the 2nd largest club and it was said this is the biggest "Carlisle" ever
Special thanks to our sponsors!

2012 Corvette at Carlisle was a great event for the Registry.
Thank you to David Johnson for putting together a supurb weekend.
The banner in the picture above means a lot to me. It means that all of the ZR-1 owners hanging out at the Registry tent were having a good time and welcomed old-timers and new-comers as well. Many people who stopped by to look at the famous ZR-1's were impressed with the ZR-1 owners and their passion for their cars.
Thank you to Joe, Dave, Matt, David, Everett, and everyone else who helped cook the burgers that were enjoyed by so many.
Thanks to Frank for making shrits for us to buy, they were a hit.
There were no breakdowns that I know of so we didn't have to do any major repairs on the Fun Field this year, but I did see a lot of teamwork helping to solve some minor issues. Thanks to Kevin for being a source of tools and knowledge.
Thank you George for processing all the membership transactions. We signed up 11 new members.
I did see some members come back from the flea market area with some dusty treasurers, so there were bargins to be had.
Thank you to the folks that donated merchandise and services to our raffle: Jerry's Gaskets, Fuel Injector Connection, Doug Rippie Motorsports, Reflections Detailing, Bill Wenzel, and Doug Marshall. We raised $802 for the Registry.
LOST AND FOUND: On Sunday, as we were packing up, I found a blue canvas folding chair with "Drexel" on it that no one claimed. I have it, if it is yours, contact me please.

Good time had by all! Always great to see & talk to my Z brothers from around the country. I dare to say we had more ZR-1's there than all of the reg. C4's combined. I believe we had 4 or 5 celebrity choice award winners in our group as well. It was good to see so many people stop and look/admire at our cars. I answered many ?'s on Friday/ Sat. from people and not one of them was parts availability related =D>. The passion we have for our cars only makes the breed stronger and I think that was felt by all that stopped by.
Jim's Alaskan trip yellow Z was a big hit all weekend. What a great story it had to tell and was made even better by leaving the 10k miles of road grime on it. :saluting: Can't wait till next year

Yep, Great weekend, many deals were there for the taking (which I did),
Great weather driving up both Friday and Saturday and good to meet some new folks I've chatted with on the web in the past.
Jim, David and crew: you guys put on one hellava gig this weekend and I had a great time and am looking forward to next years event already.
Not going to mention who won the FIC Injector raffle but his name starts with Gibby, close friend of mine by the way!

Thanks Dave and Jim for putting on such a great ZR-1 get-together at Carlisle. My son and I had a total blast this weekend! For those who stuck around on Sunday, the rain stopped after about an hour and turned into a beautiful blue sky day.
Made the mistake on way back of stopping for amazing BBQ at Redd's in Carlisle and the skys opened, with street flooding and 0 visibility (nor defrost - no A/C). I barely made it home. Well after 21 years, my Z has finally been thoroughly rain soaked :censored:
A special shout out for Kevin, who helped charge my ZR-1's A/C and remove the camber (Arghhh!) brace to access the low side R134a inlet adaptor =D> and diagnose a bad low pressure A/C switch -- I replaced the switch today and thanks to Kevin great A/C coolness returned.
And Congratulations to Jim for winning a Celebrity Choice Award for his Alaska trek with his Yellow Z!:icon_thum
There is definitely no better Corvette club, nor nicer group of people to spend a glorious weekend sharing the Brotherhood of the Beast!
And... by the way, I finally tamed and christened the Beast, decisively moving from trophy waxer (from 3,000 to 7,000 miles) to everyday driver, to full lock power slide oversteer permagrin (8,500 miles) - my son and I both took turns this weekend racing Steel Blue - did 24 laps of the suprisingly fast autocross course and won our modified class:worship: trophy
I will post some amazing pictures of my Z sideways - professionally taken on the road course , as soon as they arrive in my email.

I just wanted to say I had a great time at my first Corvettes at Carlisle. I met a ton of ZR-1 owners, and walked around looking at everything until my feet hurt.
I'm already looking forward to next year.

There was never going to be an announcement on this
We discussed is on the forum extensively, didn't we?
We (the board) have been trying to get members to contribute and also writing articles ourselves

I agree completely with you, SteelBlueZR1....!!!
And, to Jim Voter....Again, it was a pleasure for me and my 'better-half', Angela Morsa, to select your ZR-1 for a Celebrity Judge Award for Corvettes at Carlisle 2012.
The story of your "Alaskan Journey" touched both of us. What a fantastic trip...and so much better that you and your wife traveled together in your ZR-1. We were both glad to meet you on Saturday....and we had a great time in Carlisle....even though I was busy at AllVette, and Angela was swamped with her duties as President of the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation. We always enjoy meeting our fellow Corvette and ZR-1 friends.
I am very proud to be a member of "The Brotherhood" of the ZR-1...!! Hope to spend a bit more time with you guys at next year's event.
