Hey Guys is this what I need as a replacement? The pump took a dump on me...

The Bay link (http://www.ebay.com/itm/VACCUM-PUMP-KODIAK-TOPKICK-CORVETTE-C4-ZR1-SECONDARY-/330577604727?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf7f5f077&vxp=mtr)

It looks like the correct item but it got me thinking where it stated
"This pump is used in Kodiak/Topkick trucks for the AC & Heater Controls. On a 91-95 Corvette ZR1 it can be used as a direct replacement for the secondary pump. Can also be used on 1990 ZR-1 with this adapter (GM Part#12102747)"

Thanks,

Daniel

Yes they work and fit. You can also use Ford diesel vaccume pump, you will have to make up a jumper harness. I use the Ford pump it is available on e-bay for about $$55.

I need to get ta picture but somewhere down the line the pump was wired into the fog lights. Any thought as to why someone would do this?

Does the ECM provide +12V, or a switched ground, to turn on the pump? GM often uses switched ground to actuate devices controlled by the ECM or CCM, so perhaps the +12V source is shared by the fogs and the pump?

I have no idea I haven't gotten into it very far yet. The wire job does not look factory at all.

Dan,

If you're interested, I have mine (92) that is not in use and would be willing to sell if you are interested.
