We are planning to come in Friday mid-morning. We need to find a hotel. Does the Wingate have rooms? Any places you know of?

I know that there were rooms reserved, but I don't know if there are any left. All the contact info is in an earlier post from Dave Johnson I believe.

You probably won't find much available close-by. You may have to stay in Harrisburg with the rest of us, but at a different hotel if the Wingate is sold out.

Anyone else have some input?

Yea Dave what's the drill on setting up? When do you need people willing to help to be there? Sorry for the dumb Q, but I am willing to help, I just never knew whom to ask....:o

Okay Dave the car is fixed. I will be there by Thursday around noon or sooner. So do you need any hands on deck to help with setting things up? I am willing to get to the fair grounds earlier if you guys need help. I'm meeting Doug and John there Thursday after about 12 or 1 PM, it is easy for me to arrive sooner if you need any extra help.

Which way you going down? I was talking to Doug and he was taking 84 to 81. We were going to meet just south of Scranton around 10:30. Does this work for you?

I need to check it out but I think there is a Dunkin Donuts at exit 188. Pit-spot and back on the road.

Cell phone around 4:30 is best.

I just checked mapquest. Exit 184 on I-81 southbound which is PA route 307 (Moosic Street). Right at end of the ramp, about 300 feet on the right. CVS parking lot next door looks bigger. Lots of gas stations and pretty easy back on southbound.

Let me look at a map and see where Scranton is .... yes, I know it's in PA. I don't ever remember passing thru Scranton on my way to either Carlisle or BG, but ya know I don't do much sight seeing when I drive. :p No wise cracks from you Doug either! :wave:

FYI, A person I work with went to Hershey PA late last week. His GPS took him across 78 which he said was stop and go for quite a ways near Allentown.

With any luck Doug and I should arrive by 1:00 PM.

Big John! What it be my Z Brother? How are you? Might you be coming to Carlisle? Stories? About me from Doug no doubt! So here is the other side of the Story....I have ADD, and I have an issue with authority, just a small one though! Oh, and a bit of a problem with reading comprehension, it has to do with road signs! But I'm not a bad person, just a bit defective. :p

John, I checked and I'll see you and Doug at the registry tent. 81 is a bit out of my way till Harrisburg. I hear ya about Allentown. I always seem to hit there just about at their rush hour, but it's all good as their rush hour isn't like NYC rush hour. :dancing
