Right now I'm in the Texas hill country west of Austin visiting family and the area is beautiful green like you can't imagine due to all the extra rain they have getting this summer.

Phil I used to live in Austin and loved Lake Travis. Jumping off the cliffs at Pail face. And hanging out at the Oasis after jet skiing on the lake all day. In fact I still have a couple of shot glasses that mysteriously ended up in my cupboard from there.:mrgreen:

We need the rain too. I heard on the radio today that 1000 counties in the U.S. are suffering from drought. It's suppose to be the most expensive natural disaster to date. A lot farmers are losing they're crops.

This morning on the way to work the road was so flooded because the creeks had g.one over their banks and kid you not there was a carp about 24" long swimming accross the road in front of me. I said WTF is that? I had to stop from running it over. And just a little bit further up everybody was turning around even the big 4X4 trucks because the water was just to deep. Its just not worth loosing your car or your life trying to make it through.

Wow! Too bad you didn't have your fishing net and wading boots, lol. My friend once tried to cross an intersection during a really bad storm a few years ago. The roadway was flooded like in your vid. She couldn't tell how deep it was and tried to cross it. Car stalled, had to have towed, then found out the damage was so bad the insurance co. totaled the car. The water wasn't so bad as to wash the car away, but your right it's not worth risking your car, let alone your life.
